Wait, Flash in the comics was friends with peter in the comics and found out that he was Spiderman but was not against him. I think some of this was in the Fantastic four crossover with Spiderman. That friendship is what I wanted to see on screen. This is what happens when there is a bunch of iterations of the same characters. Different stories and characteristics.

Plot Twist: Flash Thompson really is an Osborn. Only his mother’s last name is Osborn so it doesn’t pass onto him. His mother is the one who starts up Osborn technologies and later becomes the Green Goblin. I think it would be feasible since Disney has been known to make bold gender swaps. Or Flash’s name could be Thompson Osborn and Flash is just a nickname.

I mean, it could be true that he's an Osborn. On the bus during Far From Home, the text message says: "Have you heard from father yet?" and at the airport, he specifically asks: "Could MOTHER not make it." It could hint that he doesn't know his father and only lives with his mother. The name Thompson could be his mother's name while his father is a busy businessman named Osborn. And yes, the car in Homecoming may have been his fathers (A rich car at that) but it could have been given to him by his mother while his father is out working. Not once have we seen Flash talk about his father as he does when talking to his mother on the bus or asking about her only at the airport. He could be an Osborn and his father could be Green Goblin (Who dies or something) and maybe his mother knows but he doesn't, hence why he takes her last name: 'Thompson'. That's just my theory.
