For Critters wanting to get into the mini painting hobby. BLUF: detailing a mini and dealing with hand tremors. For older or injured mini painters, *coughs and looks around nervously* this will be useful. 3:43 start of explanation. 5:00 rubber band stabilization 5:30 dual hand stabilization: note with this, have your wrist touch each other. This plus good posture and resting your elbows on a table helps. 5:45 hug method: make sure to rest your arms across your torso, and that you have a back supporting chair. 6:08 wrist to wrist. This is a very good one, as you can also use your hand holding the plinth to stabilize the brush as a ledge. Note how the hands form a pseudo heart shape. 6:30 6:50 arm rest method 6:51 brush holding. For control, you hold really close to the end. Small levers. 6:55 7:10 mini painting isn't magic :) little tricks are how you do it. 8:00 starting on the back. 8:14 I know it's a joke, but s1+2 would be painters guild geek and sundry. 8:53 - 9:14 nail pallette. Load your thumb or nail with your paint, to act as a pallette, and wipe off excess on thumb to beat dry times. 9:30 begin freestyle detailing. 13:05 comparison. 13:47 summation. As before, there are several starter kits, with paint, primer brushes and a mini to start back or to begin the hobby. Also, there are more companies than ever to get reasonably priced minis to start with. For further readings, I recommend looking up mini painting as you get older on KZbin, as there are several guides on dealing with hand shakes, eye strain and the like. Welcome to the hobby, and as always your fellow hobbyists can't wait to see your plastic.

Aww, that was very considerate of Will to help Tali negate his tremors a bit. :)

This helps. I have some tremors but more like tics - tourettes. Can’t tell you how many times I messed up a mini.

Yes! His first character in campaign 2 was Mollymauk Tealeaf, who met an unfortunate end awhile back and since then, he's been playing Caduceus. Campaign 1, he was Percy.

After the questioning was over and they went into the intro bit for the painting I started wondering how Taliesin would fare with his tremor. Interesting that they actually covered it.

Just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the info on reducing the effects of hand tremors. I am an oncology nurse. I am looking forward to trying the rubber band trick, tomorrow, when I am placing IVs! Not only has your tip likely improved my artistic creations...but it also is going to potentially help cancer patients!! 🎉 Thanks so much!!

First i thought using Tal for the Details Episode was a bad joke. Then i realized you'd never do that, and actually made something fucking amazing. Props.

Nothing more wholesome than two adult men complimenting each other’s paint work on a miniature of a character from an imaginary game

I got a head injury as a kid and after that my hands have always shaken to the point I had to stop doing any kind of art, but the rubber band trick helps so much 😍😍
