Thats why you listen when your elders speak and tell the stories of their youth, they made it happen without all the heavy gear and technology we have today, thats why i always say nothings impossible just need the rite mentors in life. Its our duty to pass on these skills to the younger generation to help them evolve into the badass make it happen crew, so they are prepared to teach the next generation!

I'm always impressed that they take the time to clean up, I don't know if it's the moral obligation, if there's some park rules, or even if they're doing it for the camera, but whatever the reason I am impressed. I don't think many other recovery services I've seen are that diligent.

@@BobHannent for accidents on the road, the tow companies are required to clean up glass, broken parts and spilled fluids. I assume it's the same type of regulations inside State Parks. I'm guessing they would do it anyway being the type of people they are, but most towing contracts require it.

Hey guys! So I used to drive a "tow truck" for a Harley Davidson dealership a few years ago and it was basically a Dodge Ram with this neet contraption that came out the bed and would load the bikes up really nice. Unless they were crashed!! I made a thing that would probably do wonders on your trailer maybe. But around two feet or so from the loading end I cut a square hole and flush welded a 4" inch square tube in the deck. Then I had another tube that would fit in that one and kick in place and had a few different heights cut and they had a pulley at the very top. So when you would use the winch instead of just dragging and pulling straight it would lift the bikes up in the air a bit depending on what length pipe was in there. Basically just a poll sticking straight up with a pulley to redirect the cable to lift a but instead of dragging stuff. Just a very very handy thing I did that made my job WAY easier and thought I would share is all!!

@@redrider7730 ... I stand corrected, but looking at 5:17 I see what appears to be "woodgrain" at the top of the ramp so mistook that for wooden planks. (probably a grease smear) Going back to 5:03 I can see they are extruded aluminum, but I plainly see them using planks as prying implements, which something I have done in a pinch, but not proud of. I'd be embarrassed, just as they mention in the video. @@vashusan1984 even if in the fuel line if you can knock the flame down with an extinguisher there has to be something to reignite the fuel. That was my thought, anyway. Guess we'll never know one way or the other.

where i live it is illegal to drive a vehical on the road without at least a small fire extinguisher. now granted, most are probably 10 years old and no one has checked them in years; but, at least a few in a group like that would work.

We always carry one. It has actually been used several times, everytime on the highway, but it's been useful to pt out a fire before it got out of hand. Thankfully not on my own vehicles, but a $15 extinguisher, if used quickly enough, can save a thousands of dollars vehicle. Always worth it to have.

off-roading or any modfied car really. my buddy had a $20,000 suburu STI with 6-7 thousand into it, he pulled up to a parking spot with smoke pouring out of the engine bay. oil from the turbo leaked onto his exhaust wrap. he was able to save it, and only lost a plastic timing belt cover, otherwise it would of been his whole car. and good luck getting your aftermarket parts covered with insurance. if its a fuel fire, your realistically not going to put it out, but the chance of it saving your vehicle, or giving you/someone else more time to get some where safe is defiently worth it.
