Out of all the reaction videos I watch about Tay, I like yours the most. At my ripe old age of 68 and just recently became a Swiftie. My fave song is All Too Well. I found her concert and realized how many of her songs in the past I loved but didn't know she was singing them. The Eras Tour is unbelievably awesome. I am praying her and Travis make it.

Taylor's "Nope, we don't do that anymore" at 14:30 is so relatable for anyone who has ever had intrusive thoughts. Having to build up walls to protect yourself from your own mind because you know you if you don't it can lead to a spiral. She left out the sickest part of Kanye's abuse.He made a fantasy revenge sex video of her because she said she never agreed to being called a bitch in his song, and because she said that he and Kim recorded a phone conversation that Kim edited in their favor pretending that she had heard that lyric and approved it (an unknown person later released the entire unedited recording proving taylor was telling the truth). He had a realistic (sex) doll made specifically for his Famous video, where he depicted her 'naked' and sleeping in bed with him. There are behind the scenes of Kanye, Kim (who was the victim of revenge porn herself), and good 'ol Scooter laughing and playing with their Taylor doll.again, he had a life sized, realistic doll depicting down to her freckles what they imagined her naked body would look like and then filmed it for the entire world to look at. It doesn't matter if you like someone as a person, or if you enjoy their music. That's sick.

Some of the stuff in Miss Americana is why most Swifties love Travis for Taylor. He knows how to deal with the fame part of things. He doesn’t want to hide the fact that he’s with her and he is more than happy to be her protector. And he’s a giant, so no matter what she weighs she will always look tiny next to him. He loves his three nieces and he definitely wants kids - if they choose it they would have beautiful babies together.

@@GOTGames he’s a professional athlete with a huge personality. He’s VERY different from the actors and musicians she’s dated in the past. People were skeptical in the beginning because he made it known on his podcast that he does with his brother (Jason, a recently retired NFL player for the Eagles) that he wanted to meet her. He attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium where he plays football and joked that he had even made friendship bracelets with his (phone) number on it to give her. The story goes that her relative who is a race driver arranged the introduction, but they know other people in common like her dancer Cam Saunders is the brother of a Chiefs player (same team as Travis) and both know actor Miles Teller, both know Justin Timberlake, etc. Going back to the Eagles, Jason and then Travis were both coached by Andy Reid, who knows Taylor’s father because he went to Eagles games years back. Andy has even joked about the fact that he knew Taylor long before Travis met her. Needless to say there’s several theories floating around about how exactly they met, but we’re here for it since her other relationships have not been great. Based on things he’s said on his podcast and interviews, Travis seems to love who she is and what she does and isn’t trying to dim her light. He’s super proud of her and beams when he speaks of her.
@khills8 ай бұрын
@@texasseastar Not to mention he’s genuinely a huge fan of hers - you can find him talking about her for YEARS. Someone did a kiss 🙄, marry, kill with him like, a decade ago, and it was Taylor, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande as his choices. His first response? “That’s messed up, I don’t wanna kill any of them.” A freakin TREASURE of a dude (as is Jason). (He chose to kiss Taylor, kill Ariana, and marry Katy, for those curious.) Lots of videos of him dancing and singing to her music, and the Chiefs have been using Look What You Made Me Do as their celebration song for a few years now. He knows her songs well enough to sing them by heart, AND he knew them well enough to understand the friendship bracelet thing - which wasn’t apparently a joke! On her previous tours, Taylor’s done meet’n’greets before the show and he planned on giving it to her there. To shoot his shot, as it were, without being creepy or putting public pressure on her by asking her out in front of people. (Which maybe is just me, but that alone is swoon-worthy.) Because the media picks up anything Taylor related, after he mentioned it in July on his podcast with his brother (that he made her the bracelet but she wasn’t doing meet’n’greets and he was kinda good-naturedly miffed about it), it kinda went gangbusters around the celeb gossip mags. Because you know, not only an eligible guy of football try to get her attention and fail, he did A GIRLY CRAFT. (Which he shut down fast, talking about how much he loved making and giving the bracelets and it’s dumb to gender crafts.) It got to the attention of mutuals, who made sure she saw the story, and it went from there. In her interview with Time for being person of the year, she noted that they had made the choice to be a couple by the first football game she went to, and had been dating for… well, given the timelines, probably two months. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.” I actually loved what she said, because I remember so many people thinking that they did start dating with that first game attendance. 🙄🤷🏼♀️ Anyhow, just enthusiastically agreeing with you. I think he’ll be great for her, regardless of how long their relationship lasts. He gets great reviews from all his female friends and relatives (yeah, his ex’s are bitter but… 🤷🏼♀️), he’s clearly a fan of hers which means he 100% knows what he’s getting into, and his experience with the NFL is probably closest to what she experiences because football fans can be KIND OF INTENSE (especially since it’s often men bro’ing after guys they wanna bro with). Plus he’s HAPPY to be seen in public with her, but he also lets her control how public she wants to be: like waiting backstage for her after a show, and letting her decide to kiss him in front of cameras, rather than just swooping her up. Dude seems to grok consent like whoa, which is a credit to Mamma + Pappa Kelce - they have, from all accounts, raised two fine men.

However, something I do have is Taylor's music. I have the knowledge that people like you are out there, feeling the exact same which, although heartbreaking to think about, is also comforting in a weird way. We're not alone, Luke.

“Soon You’ll Get Better” gets me every time. I think of my mom and how we take it for granted that they will just be there and the fear when they are sick and you realize you can’t count on that. So many of her songs connect to so many real things.

Thanks, Luke, get well soon! On TuesTay I humbly suggest you check out her City of Lovers show in Paris! A great double-video reaction would be "Death By A Thousand Cuts" & "Cornelia Street". Both are just her and the guitar; a second choice would be "Daylight" as it's her on piano, if you prefer one w/guitar and the other w/piano! You haven't seen anything from this show yet and IMO they're some of her best performances.

to answer the question at 29:45... because so many people have DEEP insecurities that were actually SOOTHED by adopting the 'too cool' mentality in their formative years. Being 'too cool' for someone/something feels like a form of protection. Like you're 'harder' and better than something that seems VULNERABLE (sweetness, for example). I grew up with that as a shield for a LONG time. I needed to identify with what was a little more dangerous... to feel a little bit more powerful, because I felt so powerLESS. But I did my work. I consciously chose growth every day. I actively pursued depth and understanding and expansion and now I can FREELY and JOYFULLY claim my love for things that young me would've been 'embarrassed' by (aka scared of being criticised for by someone 'stronger' 'harder' or more intimidating). It's such a freedom to love what you love, know WHY and STAND for it.

When you asked why is it wrong to look up to someone or love someone like Taylor Swift... One answer: it's the patriarchy. It's SO frustrating but that's what it is and I'll die on that hill.

Once you finish Miss Americana (hope you survive part 3, also bet you see a lot of the Rep songs with new understanding by now), I think the next longer project should be the entire Long Pond Sessions film. It should fit into 2 (well maybe 3 because you will love seeing her being completely herself & so casual about her genius) parts and it really should be experienced as a complete film not just isolated videos. There’s a lot of discussion about how the album came about and was recorded that you don’t see in one off songs. It’s so impressive hearing how her genius works and yet it’s also very stripped down, humble and heartfelt. Actually thinking about it, Long Pond Sessions is the best representation of Taylor Swift the artist & human that exists.
@elliebrocklesby90977 ай бұрын
Yes I would also love to see him react to this! And I agree it would work great as a whole video rather than just watching the songs as a one off! I really hope he does this.
@thomasdworak20308 ай бұрын
I guess, you have to do ME! next on Tuesday. Even if people are torn about the song, the video is fun. :-D Your could combine it with Lover. It's from the same album and you haven't done it yet. Or your take the behind the scenes of ME!. There you see, how Taylor came to her third cat. 😸🥰
@dawnroberts36268 ай бұрын
Yep, the video of ME! is so fun. But I also love their performance opening of the Billboard awards--It was *spectacular*! I know lots of people dislike that song, but it's supposed to be over-the-top.

Ok, I have a suggestion to watch. Taylor was the key note speaker at NYU 2020 graduation . I’m telling you it’s a stunning speech. It helps you know her. She speaks without notes and it’s amazing. It’s on you tube so I vote for this as a non musical thing

My biggest rec would be acoustic set on Disney+, Reputation stadium tour, folklore long pond studio, and, ofc only if you have the time, the new album drops on april 19 th. Love all your reactions, hope we make you feel welcome in swiftiehood ❤️
@Alfrodo88 ай бұрын
If we're talking documentaries specifically, besides this there's also: - The folklore Long Pond studio sessions, where they play live acoustic versions of the whole folklore album and also explain each song briefly, but you've kinda been watching that already by reacting to the folklore songs through the Long Pond videos - The 1989 World Tour movie, which is mainly one night of the tour just like the Eras Tour one but there are also documentary-like moments about the tour in between songs - The "Journey to Fearless" documentary, which is a three-episode miniseries that is half most of the setlist of the Fearless Tour and half documentary about the tour and Taylor herself. Other than that I can't think of anything else unless the Red Tour has a movie that is also a kinda documentary and I don't about it (which could be the case XD)
@MinervaLavender23718 ай бұрын
Absolutely YES to doing the full acoustic set of The Eras Tour after Miss Americana is done! For Fridays in the future, I think you would love The Long Pond studio sessions. In that, she gives interviews before each song, and I know you would love that. There is also Making of a Song, which shows how most of the Reputation album was created, and in that, you get to see how her songwriting mind works and her awesome personality throughout. I think you would adore her 2022 NYC commencement speech to the graduates. SO much wisdom in that speech. Then, I would love to see you do the Reputation Tour, the 1989 Tour, and the Speak Now Tour. There's a tour for the Red album as well. You could be busy on Fridays for a LONG time.

My son is 4.5 and a major swiftie. He knows almost all of her songs and is slowly learning her dance moves. It broke me the other day when we were out with his cousin and a Taylor song came on and he got mad at me for saying “let’s sing!”. He told me that night people have made him feel bad for liking her so he has to like her at home. I let him know he can love her anywhere and regardless of what others think. He should be proud of who he is. But man… it’s tough. Us swifities stick together forever, f*** the haters. They don’t deserve us.

Luke, you said no one cares about what you’re doing and your accomplishments outside of the people in your home. Not true. I started watching you the end of November and at the end of December while I was on a tropical holiday celebrating my 50th birthday I checked your channel daily to see if you hit your goal. I told the Swifties close to me to follow you. I’m just some random person on the other side of the planet. And I had watched other reaction accounts but yours was the first that I followed. This world has lost their ever loving minds!
