I've been at her concert last year in Belgrade. It was hours drive in one direction with quite a heavy foot and it was totally worth it. With years she hasn't lost anything, her skill, stage presence, appearance.... Just amazing! A true lady! BTW, an old metal/prog fart speaking... And the reaction of the audience at this concert is truly an ultimate respect, a thing most artists can dream about.

There is no weakness in acknowledging one's emotions; only it having them overwhelm oneself when one must be in control. when you know the backstory, it is even better. From what I've heard, she was going through a VERY tough time (health issues, boyfriend cheating, drama with record company). She was very depressed. The pianist had made an agreement with the audience without her knowing. Not sure about the accuracy of this, but it is very touching nonetheless. The audience shows her such love and support.

This is not merely another time when an audience sings the songs of the artist. This was something else entirely. This was the audience LOVING a woman they knew was suffering a time of tremendous loss and depression. This was humanity at its best. This was an audience giving their healing love to her as an act of selflessness and empathy, compassion and loving care! This was a once in a lifetime precious moment and Lara is such a humble woman that in her vulnerability and need she allowed herself to receive the gracious gift the audience so lovingly gave. She loved them right back, of course, but this audience showed the best humanity can offer by their selfless and compassionate love for a woman so obviously in pain and who needed to know she was valued, loved, appreciated and that her life and work matters more than the business of music allows. Lara is so very special and i adore her and have for decades. This is extraordinary, real, and beautiful! An eternal moment of beauty and love!

Two suggestions for you: "From Lara With Love" is arguably the greatest live concert recording ever created. "Je Suis Malade" is the greatest cut from the greatest album. Also, her song "I Will Love Again" really jump-started her worldwide success. Most of the time, you will hear it as an uptempo version. Listen to it and then, on KZbin, type "Lara Fabian I will love again ballad blue 007". You will see/hear a slow piano version which accompanies two beautiful dancers. It is simply stunning.

I believe the story behind this, was she had a rough breakup, some health issues, and deeply depressed about it all. She originally wanted to cancel the concert for the reasons mentioned above. However, her music director, the guy at the piano, told her she can not cancel, she has to perform. Then this magic happened! I adore Lara Fabian! She did a dance/pop song, I Will Love Again. She killed it!
