I signed up for a Michelin free promotion several years back for a "Michelin man" digital tire pressure (while supplies last). I was surprised to get a big box. Inside was tire gauge and to my surprise, a stuffed doll Michelin man. My 11 month old daughters eyes grew wide and she held out her arms to it. Told her, the name is "Michelin." She softly said ,"My Mich" She's 5 now, still sleeps with the thing and anywhere we go she will say,"Look! It's Mich!" Wether it be on a banner, bill board, commercial, etc. Definitely an icon that already made it's imprint in the next generation and they can't even write a sentence yet. I still got tire pressure gauge though. 😑

There's another wrinkle or fold of rubber here - apparently Michelin Stars for restaurants were originally deemed by travel distance. Meaning that "I would travel 500 miles to go to this joint. They get a Michelin Star since I'm using my tires." Not kidding, however I don't know what the hierarchy is for multiple Michelin Stars.
