he is driven , The Kybalion : " A central concept in the book is that there are "seven Hermetic principles, upon which the entire Hermetic philosophy is based".[4] These are, as literally quoted from the book: 1. The principle of mentalism "The All is Mind; the Universe is Mental."[5] 2. The principle of correspondence "As above, so below; as below, so above.” [...] This principle embodies the truth that there is always a correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of being and life.[6] 3. The principle of vibration "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates."[7] 4. The principle of polarity "Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."[8] 5. The principle of rhythm "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates."[9] 6. The principle of cause and effect "Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law."[10] 7. The principle of gender "Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles; gender manifests on all planes. "

"I'm waiting for someone to save me, but no one ever comes." This song has always punched me in the gut as i have dealt with depression from little to no foundational love. I had to learn how to be a man myself and smile at others. When i think of Ivan, i think of how we can help others get through the day by cheering people up, instead of making others' days worse. Thank you for helping so many people have an outlet to get out of the cage that holds them

Yes! Saw them Live and they put on one helluva show. I’m happy & sad about Ivan’s decision to retire. I’m happy for him to be able to spend more time with his beautiful daughter and steadfast wife, but I’m sad that I’ll never be able to see them Live again or hear new tracks. Much Love & Light from one 5FDP lifelong fan to another. 🔥🔥😎

Another sun sets down behind me Another day comes crashing in There's a whispering wind that's blowing There's a storm that's closing in I can hear the trains, they're rolling To a place I've never been And I can feel her breath beside me With an empty glass of gin As the darkness settles in I can hear her voice again I can hear your voice again Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun All the ghosts that live inside me Always waiting in the wind I can see through my reflection What I've become and what I've been You see, your Heaven doesn't want me And your Hell won't let me in It's like I'm holding all the aces But I know I'll never win Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun You can take it away, tear it all down Spit in my face, pushed to the ground Look what I've become I've fallen from grace, bloodied and bound Taking up space, lost and I'm found Look what I've become I can hear the snakes, they're winding Singing songs of pain and sin There's an anger overflowing From this empty glass of gin As the darkness settles in And the darkness settles in Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun And the darkness settles in (You can take it away) And the darkness settles in (You can take it away) As the darkness settles in

FFDP I have listened to since the bleeding hit my ears one day, and I looked up all their songs and kept listening over the years. I have been lucky enough to see them in concert a couple times. As someone with a troubled past and a Veteran, their music has helped me through so much pain and darkness. There are more times than I can count when my darkness has settled in, if anything this band has helped me through my life so many times. Your music is true art and inspiration and helps many of us cope with pain and much more so thank you for everything you do.

Man did I even not realize how much I needed this group of artists so much in my life. I listen, i mean really listen to so much and varied music- trust me I have a wide range of likes and this...this BAND speaks so loudly and clearly to my inner being and they actually rest my soul. I'm telling you all, seriously, daily I listen to several songs but top of the list is "A Little Bit Off Today" "Wrong Side of Heaven" of others at least three times....daily. Finding new ones every week I love to hear over and over as well. These guys are GODS for the human soul.

Hell & the Lake of Fire is welcome to all who deny Jesus and follow Lucifer (willingly or not) as Heaven is open to all who have faith in Jesus and repent. The only difference is which side do you choose? Fence sitting just ends you up in Hell to note. Choose your side wisely as it will be for eternity in MY OPINION. Best of so-said LUCK to all as this world is losing it's damn mind. BUT FROM MY END IT SEEMS IT'S BASICALLY THE GLOBALISTS VS THE "ACTUAL" CHRISTIANS and any that stand with us at this point and time. If you don't understand what Globalism is then you have no clue what is going on in this world at large, FULL STOP. That being said Globalism is World Slavery by the so-called "elite" for those that are still behind the curve. Note: This is my extended "opinion" as it's my "opinion" that we are entering the so-called "End of Days" better known in the Bible as the "7 Year Tribulation" time frame. Only time will tell.

"It's like i'm holding all the aces, but i know i'll never win" Do you realise how powerful it is? And not only the lyrics, but the acting. At the end of the sentence Ivan (vocals, in case you don't know) puts his hands over the head and open them. To me, it means that he's wearing a joker's hat, and you know what? joker cards are not used to play... he's an empty card, he can't win because he is not in the game, he CAN'T BE there. This is ... poetry

I LOVE your interpretation. Buuuuut, there are plenty of card games where the joker is indeed used as a valid playing card. Often, it's inserted as a *wild* card- and given any damn value you wish to give it :P what these lyrics mean to me, is that he's incredibly lucky!! ( I mean... how often do you get dealt FOUR aces. I'd go ALL IN, wouldn't you??? ) well, if HIS luck, is anything like MY luck, the guy across from me, has the straight flush. So the lyrics to me, mean, no matter how good you think you've got it. Someone else has always got it better than you. And that goes for every being in existence. EVEN GOD! There's always a bigger fish my friends. It is the way. :P Rock Superstar Syndrome is hard to, detox from. But these guys have done it!! They sing music from the sinner's soul! "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way." Hells Angels.

Save yourself but find help. As far as acoustic.. The words stand and many versions would rule! As does this one here... I've been to hell and back. Various times. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Are you strong enough yet!!?! You are responsible! I listened to help loud. Others listen(ed) differently. Messages can be delivered many times and intensities! Believe and live that and find your saving the way you find it... JS Among the messengers some are still around that I heard. We have buried many to. What happens is your choice! Choose wisely!

#lyrics# Another sun sets down behind me Another day comes crashing in There's a whispering wind that's blowing There's a storm that's closing in I can hear the trains, they're rolling To a place I've never been And I can feel her breath beside me With an empty glass of gin As the darkness settles in I can hear her voice again I can hear your voice again Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun All the ghosts that live inside me Always waiting in the wind I can see through my reflection What I've become and what I've been You see, your Heaven doesn't want me And your Hell won't let me in It's like I'm holding all the aces But I know I'll never win Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun You can take it away, tear it all down Spit in my face, pushed to the ground Look what I've become I've fallen from grace, bloodied and bound Taking up space, lost and I'm found Look what I've become I can hear the snakes, they're winding Singing songs of pain and sin There's an anger overflowing From this empty glass of gin As the darkness settles in And the darkness settles in Waiting for someone to save me But everyone just runs away Waiting for someone to change me But no one ever comes I'm breaking down the walls that cage me But nothing ever falls in place Waiting for the end to take me Blinded by the sun And the darkness settles in (You can take it away) And the darkness settles in (You can take it away) As the darkness settles in

PTSD or Complex PTSD in the lyrics is what some of us hear and see, thank you! It's almost a 80% feeling in the lyrics. Many of us are vets and many of us is traumatized from extreme things that happened to us. Thank you FFPD for all the songs your band have given us. From the US, CA, EU, SCAN, UK etc soldiers, firefighters, police forces, civil forces, moms and dads, and victims of insane violence, torture, cancer victims and traffic accidences and so on, all over the freaking world. We are So many, and you, as a band, put lyrics and music into our words and feelings of sorrow and grief. You stand up for us and we will never forget it! We Are One Together. We, thank you! (Let us all just be humble for being alive)...I am sorry for my english. I am not english..

I’m not a veteran but have some minor PTSD from head trauma and have been crying pretty hard listening to this song for the first time and reading these comments. I am comforted by the fact that so many others get a similar emotional feeling from this song. It brings me back to hard struggles but makes me so glad to have kept going. Merely surviving is one thing but to reintegrate into a normal state of mind and reconnect with society is harder. Very worth it but not easy.
