Nothing like a romantic stroll through the salvage yard with the one you love , you could have picked a better time of year for the first time. I took my wife with and she would sit on a stack of tires and read a book when was wrenching , she could even find engines I needed parts from. I would hold her hand walking through the junk on nice fall day and tell her it doesn’t get much better than this, what a look I would get. I did spring for lunch on the way home.

Spent a couple of days in snow over Xmas period a few years ago unbolting the front end of a car for my mum. Brother had totalled it on a night out, would he help? Not a chance, my mum came up with a big flask and sat in the owners cabin, popping out every half or so to defrost me with hot tea. Got her car all straightened out with two wings, slam panel, headlights and bumper. Even got it painted up to match the rest of the car in time for her to go to work in the New Year. Year later my brother did the same again to his own car, I let him borrow my tools, no help from me at all :-)

before you are done, you will have a lot of FUN!!!!! I just did an 04 radiator and 2 weeks later, a water pump on a 02, having to remove the shroud. Wait till you see where the lower shroud bolt is on the drivers side. you WILL feel my pain. ENJOY.. You and your wife remind me of me and my wife. We worked together in our shop until she died. That said, treasure what you have while it lasts, I enjoy your vids. Watching you do excellent work makes me proud to be a mechanic.

@14:34 "I'm a mechanic. What's your superpower?" perfect. Roundabout, rotary, traffic circle...all different types and with all different rules. The BEST one is where you yield to traffic in the circle and when in the circle, you yield to the traffic in the left lane. It's always best to maintain good separation and to assume that you are the only one who knows the rules. It's saved my bacon a few times. I usually floor it and used to drift the circle, before the term drifting was coined, many, many moons ago. Loved it.
