I'm also thinking the same thing. If only Adobe gave some sort of Flash Player substitute for usage ONLY inside the Wayback Machine.. that would be enough. The Library of Congress has a whole building and staff dedicated to preserving old movies and TV shows which is awesome. I wish they would put that same amount of effort into preserving video games including flash games, maybe even more just because if it's something like an MMO then you need server code and a server to run and not just a copy of the game. They don't do nothing but it seems like most of the effort is coming from pirates, emulator makers and people in the community.

No, because video games bad! In all fairness it's sad that when we grow up we will regret and blame the oldest boomers for thinking that our latest generation childhoods didn't deserve to be preserved because they most than likely think that if it is on the Internet it will never disappear. Heck, I'm worried about programs that simulate experiments that use Flash, and because the college teachers may not even know that it's going to shut down they will be left dumbfounded and then they will shift the blame onto students to try to run simulations without being able to go to labs due to Covid.

For a long time, Flash games were the only video games I had access to. If it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't have gotten into video games at all. This whole issue has caused a lot of panic for a lot of people, because it taps into the very thing that every gamer fears most - that those experiences that we loved so much, that we were so invested in, might one day disappear. As of now, that problem has been mostly dealt with. But we must ask ourselves - could this happen again? Could this happen... to KZbin? To Google? To... the Internet?

Google isn't so amazing that it needs archiving, except for their special Holiday stuff with their Drawings & Games an such. In terms of KZbin, due to the format, it would NOT be hard for creators to simply download and upload their files elsewhere. These files will be around for a long time most likely. Even if not, it's not like it's hard to convert them using programs. Heck, they already talked about how easy it was to redo Flash Animation, and THAT is going to be FAR more tricky.

I sometimes wish that I too could help those Developpers like just think. Under paid, not known too much, hardly cared for these devs still striving to save something. A thing that has been a part of everyones lives, a thing that is a culture. Believe from my deep heart that this culture will not die. even if there are people going for graphics, there are thrice as much people who are going for memories and gameplay and I will contribute as much as I can. Being a web developer I will try to give ideas and concepts and I can't see my precious childhood die. Please support these devs they have to go through a lot to build a thing this big from scratch as it isn't easy. You need to be strong from both outside and inside as the society doesn't care about game devs so they have no one but us and themselves.

A few years ago, I started downloading all flash games I liked. One game I didn't find however. It was a game where you control a robot that travels back in time to study humanity throughout history. The gameplay is easy: You just run to the right automatically and you have to turn yourself intangible whenever you are about to hit something because you must not interact with the past. But you can only make yourself intangible for a limited amount of time.
