I made these wraps tonight using the dark flaxseeds, because that's all i had on hand. I used our regular Ninja Blender to blend them, because we dont have a vitamix, and it took about 10 mins until they were ground up into a flour. I then sifted the flour through a sieve or strainer, to get out any clumps, or in case some of the seeds didn't get ground up. I then followed the recipe exactly as she posted, and they came out perfect. My husband and i loved them! We will be using this recipe again! I think i have found my new favorite wrap! Thank you for all of your encouraging videos! ❤️

@Avie Poll that's an interesting comment. Could you point me to your sources please. Sorry, I'm struggling with what you say as animals get their vitamins and minerals the same place humans do - from plants - unless they are factory farmed where they get fed supplements.
@knechtcatherine16075 жыл бұрын
@Avie PollAre you sure? I can clearly remember that a study showed that vegans (who didn't supplement in EPA) had almost as much EPA as omnivorous people. So doctors didn't know what to recommend anymore. To be sure there was no deficiencies, they recommended a supplementation to children, pregnant women and old people. And recently I watched a video with the dr Fuhrman who said that the supplementation was necessary for some people who had difficulties to make EPA and HDA from ALA.

Thanks for the great recipe. Its a gold mine for low carbers! ..eating bread again! Fantastic! I have 3 questions: - Did you try reducing the quantity of water a bit to get a firmer dough that can be rolled directly on the counter without the need for parchment paper? - In your blog you said "Turn the heat off and stir immediately with a wooden spoon, until the flaxseed meal absorbs all the water". But in the video you actually did not turn it off until the flaxseed was all wet. So which is better in your experience? - Could you please post the links to those studies you mentioned, made by Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, the British Journal of Nutrition, and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition - that have concluded that the Omega-3 fatty acids in flaxseed are resistant to oxidation even when cooked for 60 minutes at 660°F (350°C) ?
