Facts learning how to punch should take a week at most. The hard part is the defense and footwork.
@CentralZenn2 ай бұрын
@@larrycoleman9513 perfecting your own technique and style takes years, 1 week or even a month isn't enough time for your reflexes to effectively memorize the basics to the extent you'll be able to throw those same combos under pressure, or even tired. You'll likely end up telegraphing, pushing your punches, pulling them back slow, not tucking elbows, not clenching core, shoulder not turning fully, dropping hands after striking, no rotation, over committing, untucked chin, among the many other things greenies do.
@larrycoleman95132 ай бұрын
@@CentralZenn yea i was talking about the basic mechanics of punching, like putting body behind it and how to throw the different punches. The reflexes like defense, footwork and head movement will take about another few weeks to a month. To actually do it automatically and efficiently takes months and years, of practice and real life experience(sparring). Yes i agree the dropping hands and untucked chin is something that has to be experienced before someone gets it (like being hit) before they can take those kinds of lessons serious.
