Working on trying to achieve that fluidity...it’s remarkable to watch. The way he rotates his hands on every shot, timed to perfection. Add in his slips and body movement and it’s a masterpiece. I’m going to write down some of these combos and give them a try on the aqua bag.

When you watch a boxer don't look at their hands watch their feet because that's everything You can learn basic combinations you can train yourself to throw hundreds of punches but most people from my experience don't understand footwork your feet control when you can be hit or if you're safe they also take you to the opponent to attack foot movement is everything

Facts learning how to punch should take a week at most. The hard part is the defense and footwork.
@CentralZenn
@CentralZenn 2 ай бұрын
@@larrycoleman9513 perfecting your own technique and style takes years, 1 week or even a month isn't enough time for your reflexes to effectively memorize the basics to the extent you'll be able to throw those same combos under pressure, or even tired. You'll likely end up telegraphing, pushing your punches, pulling them back slow, not tucking elbows, not clenching core, shoulder not turning fully, dropping hands after striking, no rotation, over committing, untucked chin, among the many other things greenies do.
@larrycoleman9513
@larrycoleman9513 2 ай бұрын
@@CentralZenn yea i was talking about the basic mechanics of punching, like putting body behind it and how to throw the different punches. The reflexes like defense, footwork and head movement will take about another few weeks to a month. To actually do it automatically and efficiently takes months and years, of practice and real life experience(sparring). Yes i agree the dropping hands and untucked chin is something that has to be experienced before someone gets it (like being hit) before they can take those kinds of lessons serious.

The ring is an enclosure that's 18 to 22 square feet in area, that serves the EXACT PURPOSE of having the fighters as close as possible, so that a fight can happen. If it was any bigger, he would have probably be running from corner to corner trowing stones at his opponent. And yes, I would rather have "fighters" like gaywether fight in a phone booth, although he would probably still find a way to make it boring.
