I have been eating my meals cold for the longest time and my wife always says it’s the weirdest thing. It’s hard to explain to the average person that you don’t eat for pleasure, but for purpose and function. Especially while cutting, I would rather not enjoy my meals too much because that will make me want more. Love the content, keep it up

Eating food when it’s fresh and warm improves digestion. Certain meals are absorbed better when cooked and eaten hot. It’s not about pleasure it’s about function and purpose of the food as you mentioned. There is a way to eat to get the best out of it, to keep the system alive. Your gut will thank you.

Seth love this video! I’m active duty military and the other day I was out in the field it was 30° and I was eating my ground beef with ketchup cold. Someone asked how do you do that everyday and I explained that it’s not for pleasure it’s what’s gonna fuel my body for the gym. Great video!

I watch all your videos but this one is the best and inspired me to alter my mindset. On 22nd December i had a big heart attack and this was largely down to my shit diet, even though I was not fat, on the inside my arteries were a mess in my heart. I am recovering and doing well now but I nearly died and it’s due to food. I love that your outlook is like this and I am going to keep referring to this video and Seth mentality as to keep my new diet and lifestyle choices correct. So even though you may not even read this post Seth… pls know that your attitude is gonna help me stay alive. Thank you for your mentality and no bullshit talk.

I was doing really well for a while where I ate everything warmed up, but it was on a strict schedule. 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm. Then nothing after 7pm except for water. And I looked my best during that time. Then I moved across the country and couldn’t find the time to get back into that specific routine and I’m still tweaking the routine I’m building for myself.

I worked on an ambulance for years and I worked with another paramedic one day and he didn't warm up his steak and potatoes. I told him that was weird and then he explained how I would have more time to eat if I wasn't driving around trying to find a microwave at a convenience store. Since that day I never heated my food up on an ambulance. Fast forward to 5 years later and I still don't use a microwave even though I work in a cubicle and have access to a microwave. I do enjoy Seth's mental toughness outlook on why he chooses not to warm up his food.

Now I just cook them, fridge them, then throw them in my patrol bag for work and eat them cold. Same as some others, my only hot meal is when I cook for the family at night. Food is fuel, eating for a purpose, couldn’t agree more! Keep kicking ass Seth!!

I can answer this with a yes, no and a sorta. I do road maintenance and often out in the field. I always pack a lunch, usually chicken, veggies and some fruit. If I'm near the shop I'll heat it, if not I'll put the container on the dash and crank the defrost, but sometimes I forget to put the food on the dash in time.

As an infrastructure inspector, it all depends. Sometimes I eat my lunch cold and other times I remember to put my chicken and rice in the “mini logic” that I have a converter for the car to heat my meal (1 hour prior). Working construction you tend to learn to embrace the suck( inadequate weather climates) so cold meals are just another thing I embrace and deal with also

My go to post workout meal at 1 pm is a can of cold tuna fish mixed in a bowl with cottage cheese and half an avocado. I add a light salad oil and eat it with my cold protein shake (whey protein, creatine, almond milk, greek yogurt, fruit, a few nuts and ice). Pre-workout breakfast is a mixture of 2 eggs, splash of egg whites, chopped spinach, handful of shredded cheese, 1/2 avocado, splash of almond milk, chopped up leftover meat, diced tomatoes cooked 3-4 minutes in the micro-wave until it becomes a scrambled souffle. I finish with a bowl of fruit and a bowl of sugar-free oatmeal.

I work in construction and we usually have a microwave(s) in the lunchroom, never reheat my meals. We get two 20 minute breaks so I don't have time to enjoy my meal. Sit down, put the food down the gullet, hydrate and get back to work. I look forward to breakfast and last meal of the day because I eat them right after cooking and they tend to be my favorite foods. Oatmeal and eggs has been my breakfast since high-school and dinner is usually some form of bison, rice, veggies and yam - go nuts on the seasoning and the hot sauce 😋 👌

I can do hot, lukewarm, or cold.. really depends on my mood, my schedule, and what food it is.. I enjoy it all no matter what temperature it is. I have to say, when I make oatmeal/whey and let it sit/refrigerate it, I LOOOOOVE eating it cold when is really thick! its like a dessert for me.
