I discuss exterior and interior styling, sizing, storage, powertrain, towing, charging, safety features and warranty, pricing, driving dynamics, and more. I finish off the video with my overall thoughts on the Mustang Mach E and Model Y and which of these two I would recommend.

I bought the Mach-e Performance Edition, and I love it. It has better fit and finish in the body panels, no large gaps like the Model Y. It has a nicer interior, better ride quality, more torque, no creaks and rattles inside and nicer lines and sheet metal. It is just more handsome, inside and out, quieter, better handling and better performance than the Model Y Performance. With incentives from Ford and the dealer, and some negotiations, I got it for the low $50’s with 0% percent interest for72 months. Oh, and did I mention that I don’t have the obnoxious billionaire in the back seat? I’m not feeding his wallet or ego.

It’s definitely more expensive though. The only hit at this point, really, is that back seat. I don’t know if all KZbinrs are 5’6” in real life or what but at 5’11”, that mustang Mach-e GT back seat is uncomfortable af. Less cargo room. Sound system is nowhere close to MY either. Less range too. I don’t know man. If Tesla ever allows Apple CarPlay / android auto, everyone else is in real trouble. They’re already addressing build quality (the new 2024 MY and M3 are much better built, at least the ones I’ve seen, than previous generations). It still makes sense why the MY is king. Now if only everyone could qualify for the tax credit… that would be great. Getting penalized for making “too much money” is a real POS move.

Ford cuts power because their battery connectors can not take the heat and weld open or shut from the arc generated. It is why a lot of them have been recalled. In an effort to fix this fords ota software fix was to limit the charging speed and put a limit of 5 seconds on max power delivery. Lmao.. they call it a ota update, should be classified as a downgrade IMO.

2024 Mach E Gt has upgraded connectors...no overheating..The GT Performance edition 0-60 3.3 seconds..Faster than model y...

Given Ford's half-in position, I wouldn't buy an EV from a manufacture that isn't all in 100%.

I'm not understanding what half in means? Every car manufacturer is going to be "all in" whether they like it or not over the next two decades..some states already have mandated in place that all new vehicles sold have to be EVs by the mid 2030s.
