My oil pressure had been fluctuating for a few weeks, and an oil pump is way too expensive so I tried this first. Thought it would be easy, but the part didn't exist in my engine bay apparently.

Thanks so much!!!! My uncle understood your photos and when I crawled under, I spotted it right away. That was a bitch to try and spot from above, and the internet had terrible descriptions of where it was. A good way of telling people where it is might be saying that it is basically inline with the oil filter.

Hello love your videos, do you by chance have any photos or video that details the the hoses that connect to the intake manifold? I'm having a lot of trouble and was able to find one location from this video, but need one more.

is it the same spot for a ford ranger xlt 1991?
@knote49585 жыл бұрын
Even with a manual for mine, it still doesn't tell me where the oil pressure sensor is. That's why I'm here now. I like mine, it's reliable, but damn is it a pain to work on. Gotta take half of it apart just to get to something else.

hello , I'm from Brazil , do not know anything about mechanics, however have a ranger 2.5 4c , in the intake manifold are two hoses one red and one yellow , in my this missing yellow . what it does, you have trouble plugging this entry ??
@StrangeGarage8 жыл бұрын
You don't have the yellow? That would mean your vacuum system has a leak. I can't look at the truck at this point, but a vacuum diagram would help you locate the starting location of this hose, at which point you can simply get a new hose and put it where it goes, fixing this portion of the leak. I hope this helps.

wish you had better photos. I cant tell if you're on the driver or passenger side of the truck.

driver side same side as intake manifold

Is it only accessible from underneath the vehicle?
@StrangeGarage7 жыл бұрын
Jon Do Underneath is by FAR the easier way. In theory you can do it from above, but I wouldn't try.
@presidential20935 жыл бұрын
I wonder if they have another plug you can. Add a extra oil gauge so the oil pressure switch is still connected
@StrangeGarage5 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure there is one actually. I should know, but I never paid attention.
