it is a decent machine. i would have preferred it having a stronger engine. but is is versatile, that is a good thing.

Its Borax. It is a flux that prevents oxygen from stopping the welding process.

Ok ! So it avoids creating stress inside the metal when hammering, I suppose.

Olivier A nope, it prevents rust. if rust forms at a certain space the metal won't weld there. many people have started going without borax claiming it's not needed. if you can stack the metals together neatly enough you don't need flux.
