There are also alot of people that are saying MJ is not being Real! So no matter what he does people are not going to be happy. Dave Buford i don’t like the way MJ is, maybe I’m soft, but definitely haven’t found anything new. MJ was a relentless alfa, the GOAT, as he said “if you don’t like him as a role model get another role model”, I have plenty to choose from and I have nothing to criticize MJ for, he is who he is and always been. I rather follow the likes of Ali.

@@acpliego Not agreeing with MJ is one thing. The author of the article is creating false narratives. A problem all too common with people like him who have never experienced MJs career. 🥴🥴 Sielski, c'mon now, ...what documentary are you watching ?. Jordan was snarklily disrespectful to Krause and had been since his 2nd year in the league ("Broken Foot Limited Minutes Gate" 😀). Pippen was the Bull who flat out meandogged Krause...barely speaking to him or acknowledging his presence, cussed him out on the team bus, etc. F#$% anybody's expectations of who Jordan was then, or is today. He is, apparently, true to himself. The best thing about THE LAST DANCE is getting a good glimpse at the so-called "hidden", "real",...behind the scene stuff. I never had a fanboy appreciation for Jordan. I had an ADULT'S appreciation for how he played and the skills he had. The documentary cements what kind of competitor I believed him to be. And, makes me appreciate both him and the old Bulls even more.

Refreshing to see Colin defend MJ for once. People are talking about the doc changing millennials minds, but it seems he has gotten some of the media too.

Hi Collin, the literary device used in the Last Dance is the Flashback. The dates going back in the past are actually sequential n always reseting in 1998

People who are writers complaining about "the Last Dance" don't get it. MJ isn't going to lie his feelings about (Jerry) Krause, (Isaiah) Thomas or others. He wasn't going to dodge why they split (because that's what the documentary is about). Jerry Krause split one of the best teams assembled because he was insecure, cocky and felt he could do this again (build another team). And because he has passed doesn't mean you sugar coat what has happened because you are afraid of hurt feelings. That wouldn't be authentic. MJ was a hard ass when it came to winning, being super competitive and just what he feels had happened.

Colin's been on point with his takes on the documentary. Between Colin, The Odd Couple, and Skip and Shannon the FS1 coverage of The Last Dance is better than ESPN's!

Really enjoyed this and you are spot on. As a professional athlete myself, fans don't release you have to be ruthless to be successful and MJ was just that. There is no red carpet to the top and there are hurdles on the way and MJ did what he had to do to get there

Colin once again I agree with you 100%, this is a documentary it's not a freaking movie, I grew up watching Michael Jordan, since he was in college, I got a chance to see him uncensored and I'm loving it , he is definitely an alpha male no apologies I love him more now than out of yesterday, Last Dance all the way love it

Michael Jordan was as good at his job as maybe anybody has ever been. The idea that the players that Krause traded for or drafted would be as successful without Jordan demanding excellence and commitment to practicing hard is laughable. MJ was the ultimate team leader who demand nothing from his teammates that he didn't demand from himself. That is why they respected him Krause should have respected it more. What some are seeing is what it costs to be as great and successful as MJ was and is. He was tough as nails and the whole team followed suit.

This documentary made me respect coach phil even more. Collin is right the disrespect he got from management, yet the man still did his job. He dealt with scottie being angry at them. Delt with Rodman and all his issues better than any other team did. The man was a damn genius I'm shocked that finally season didnt let him lose his hair with all that stress.

I love it showing Michael Jordan being real and not caring. He says he doesn’t like Isiah but he respects him. Gambling. Man that’s the realest thing ever. He is still making hand over foot. And he doesn’t want to be a role model. Hell no one does when your in the public eye and having to do his day. Your gonna have 3-4 days out the week of not feeling it. But he did it like it wasn’t nothing. But the last dance is the best thing out there. Versus all the documentaries out there being bias and not saying the truth. Screw them.

If you are the face of a Franchise, the Leader of the team, it is your job to call out management. You need, have too, must represent your teammates & speak up when it is necessary. That was Michael's role/job as the face of the Bulls

MJ shows us that he was driven all costs to win. I already knew that. I wish the sportswriters would fix on that MJ described best teammate being Dennis Rodman. That has been the biggest revelation for me. Crumbs Krause earned his nickname.

On the political aspect, I believe that people did not really care whether or not Michael Jordan's support mattered. They were just disappointed at Michael's refusal to show sentiments on a political issue concerning his own people. People wanted Jordan to show that he actually cared about social issues concerning their race, even if his gesture was insignificant.
