Tpj and the other nsw forwards were destined to fail when freddy announced his game plan was to bash qld early. Slater just put tino and cotter to start at the last minute who are mobile and super strong defensively and they completely neutralised the nsw forwards.

And there's no 'verbal' about it, Fittler lacks intelligence full stop. The bloke is an absolute flog, isn't a coaches asshole as he has absolutely no idea how to get the best out of a group, but rather destroys players confidence, and his interchange was absolutely abysmal. And he's even worse at selection. Frankly, Fittler was Qld's MVP. He will be missed. Pffft.

I've lived in both NSW and Queensland and the supporters in Queensland are so dedicated. It could be the middle of summer, 40 degrees and you could start a discussion about who the next SOO halves pairing should be and in Queensland they'd debate it for an age while in NSW they'd look at you as if you were insane...it's 40 degrees...

Most of the qld cup teams are feeder clubs for non qld teams. Its only been since kevie came to the broncs that it has changed. When siebold had the broncs, they didn't even have a qld cup team to feed from.

It's pretty easy! I'm a die hard QLD fan and a kiwi but, Following on from what Gus said, don't pick players who play for other nations. Luai and Paulo played for Samoa even though they could of played for Australia. Good on them for choosing the team of their motherland but when it comes to origin, you need players who have a passion to play for Australia. The way I've seen players who play for other nations play origin, apart from Hammer who has since gone back to Australia, they have had shocking Origin performances. If you don't pledge allegiance for Australia, you don't play origin. It's simple

As much as I think Freddy is a top bloke, his record as origin coach, some of the selections and playing players out of position make him not right for the job in my opinion. Yes Queensland play with so much passion and teamwork but NSW have a strong pool of players to pick from too.

The biggest mistake he made was not bleeding in new players. Him along with all new supporters think that latrell and turbo are their saving grace. Times have changed and they are too slow. I very simple we started State of Origin because we got sick of NSW taking all of our best and good Queenslanders to play for Queensland to go play for NSW. So every year a second grade Queensland team so we copy a hiding every year. So since 1980 we got our best players back and so Queenslander side is better than NSW.
