+Amy F To be honest, not a day goes by when I am not sore somewhere in my body. I see it as a good thing, it means I am continually challenging myself to the point where my muscles are changing! Foam rolling is definitely great for helping with recovery. I used to do a few minutes of foam rolling before and after a workout to loosen the muscles. It's always best to stretch straight after working the muscle to lengthen it out. When I am particularly sore I just do cardio and stretching so that it gives my body at least a day to recover. I also alternate which muscle groups I work so if I am sore in the upper I work lower ore core, if I am sore in the lower I work upper or core etc. As you get more and more used to the exercises you will strengthen your weaker muscles so you won't be quite as sore any more!

I absolutely love to come back to this one!! I added your fit in 5 glutes and your first cardio in the sweat series. Sometimes I can't decide what area I want to focus on so having a mat workout that hits all of the lower body is awesome!!

This is definitely a go to at least twice a week...its like no other this is one of the BEST leg workouts...every time I do this i get stronger and I'm able to go up to the "count" and when I feel the burn i start to inhale and exhale... I was finally able to position myself flat and I felt my abs engage... Thanks again for what I consider the BEST leg workout

Amy. Can’t understand ‘why’ 13 people gave you a 👎....so little imagination on their part. From watching this video I can integrate these pilates-stability drills into a pre-warm up-and-stretch training routine as a compliment to my Swimming and Shotokan Karate workout. Wish I could forward the hard copy ‘memory postcard’ I created from just watching you perform the different exercises. Keep up the ‘great’ work.

After you do this workout you are maxed out!! Maybe you can squeeze in a short abdominal workout just maybe but that can be pushing it because you would have worked your abs indirectly especially with the "good morning" ( the action of suspending your legs and bringing them outwards) my abs are definitely stimulated...Thanks again Linda I am getting results without pressuring my joints..

Yes, that's what I love about working with the ball. You are engaging so many muscle groups at the same time. The constant contractions of holding yourself in the same position for a long time bring better results than exercises where you take rests. :)

Just take deep breaths and tell yourself it's only lactic acid! You will continue to get stronger and the burn will get less intense :)

As always, a FABULOUS WORKOUT!! Thank you for such a professional effective workout! This is the 3rd time doing this. I had to pause it at least 10 times, because I did a few of your other workouts last week that left me paralyzed LOL in a good way! My issue is I must not be stretching enough, or correctly, to recover enough to do another workout. Linda, do you have any recommendations?

Hi Linda! I do this video and the inner thigh for stability ball, and have a question. When we're laying on our side for leg lifts, with our backs lined up against the mat, bent top leg... when it comes to the bottom, extended leg, where do we shift our weight? More on the butt or on the hip? Love your videos. Will try your upper body ones today. You're the best! You have a great vibe and you're creative in many ways. Cheers!

Hi, I am glad you are enjoying my videos! In that exercise try to stay on the meaty part of your glutes. It's ok to roll back a little bit, but try to keep your hips as stacked as possible. If it hurts your hip bones you can double up your mat :)

do stability balls help you burn more calories throughout the workout? or are they just there to support you?

With this particular workout it doesn't help you burn calories as such, but with some of my other stability ball workouts it does make the workout significantly harder than doing it without so you would burn more calories. 😊
