In this video I show you how to unlock the Jem'hadar Escort t5-u across your Star Trek Online account (basically a free T6 ship will no specialization seating). I will then go over a phaser cannon build for this ship. I have to tell you I was very impress with the results from the ship.

This is a good demonstration of why the build matters more than the ship, but if you've dropped the kind of cash to get all those traits and lobi consoles, you surely have a better ship to fly than this one.

That is a valid point, although on my F2P account I have all the same gear less 2 of the traits which I will have at the end of the year with from event, but that has taken over 2 years, almost 3 by the end of the event.

I've been playing for almost 2 years now and I bought that ship shortly after I started for 1,000 dil from the vendor and I've never had a Jem'hadar character. I only had one character at the time and it was a federation character.

DHC vs DC -- a point to ponder : Many players are struggling with lag , especially at certain hours or on certain maps that are in parallel use due to events . This lag does not just impact a ... "later trigger and delivery" of DPS , it also manifests itself in powers not getting triggered, executable chains of abilities getting screwd up , and misfires or no fires from weapons . Taking the latter into account, would it not make more sense to use DC's in a laggy environment -- as they at least would have more of a chance of delivering more / some damage (by firing more often) ? Or from the other end if things -- what would the 10% CritD from DHC mean, if the weapon itself doesn't fire due to a mishmash of lag , rubber banding and screwed up chain of executable powers , or you just suddenly finding yourself overshooting cannon range / shooting angle due to a sudden rubber banding ? One of the DPS adage's is : "you don't do DPS if you're dead" . Perhaps "...or if your weapons don't fire" should be added to that .

Speaking about Warp Cores -- for newbies and less then cutting edge performers -- might I suggest the [Elite Fleet Plasma-Integrated Warp Core Mk XV [AMP] [Eff] [SSR] [W->E] [W->S] [WCap]] , instead of the [Deuterium-Stabilized Warp Core] . It comes with plenty of good out-of-the-box features , such as : +66% power transfer rate -10% weapons power cost +10% resistance rating to subsystem power drain +21.3 warp core efficiency (when power lvl's are low) Adds 7.5% [W->E] Adds 7.5% [W->S] +3.3% All Damage per sub-system with 75 or more power (on my Tac now that's 6.6%) Slipstream recharges 100% faster Weapons capacitor : +15 Weapons power setting for 10 secs / 4 Min recharge . For newbies who won't want to blow through a ton of Dil , trying to get the right Mods while upgrading their [Deuterium-Stabilized Warp Core] (which can't be re-engineerd) , or a ton of EC to get so-so Mods from the exchange (that's what I'm currently seeing now) -- the out-of-the-box stats Elite Fleet Plasma-Integrated Warp Core , that you can upgrade and forget about it , seems like a decent enough alternative . Thanks 4 making this stuff 4 the newbies out there .

I got the t5u token I still don’t know what ship to get My jem ha dar fighter I somehow made a battle bug it’s pretty tuff and can cause damage the Borg red alert I can hold my own and beat the tac Borg cube

The endeavors I did slightly different. I see the ground as more important than space. Here's why: When on a ground mission it could be possible for your character to not have any of the gear (including KIT) so being resistant to things like control (i.e. hold) will be helpful. You may not have any landing party members to help so having regeneration on health and sprint speed to move quickly are also helpful. When inside a space craft you have the ship to work with and your personal (even some ground) skills along with bridge officer and active duty officer traits to help with the space side of things. It really does matter, but like you, I have a kind of "meh" attitude to whether I run the personal endeavors. I look at what it is and how much time may be needed to complete it and decide if, based on how many points it provides, it is worth the time needed. - Example: If it is for the 8K and it is something like "Defeat 60 Borg on ground" then it's a no-brainer since it's an easy trek to the Deferra Invasion zone and most Borg there can be easily removed. On the flip side, if that same amount is for completing some TFO (and that's usually wanting 3 of those done), I'll skip it or (if I have the points) reroll/reset the endeavor. Pro Tip: If you get one that wants you to collect space materials, do it. You can get 3 from Starbase 234. - You simply close the dialog box for testing the defenses, collect the 3 that are there, jump back to sector space, approach again and repeat the process for however many you need to collect. (I've never seen it for more than 6 to be collected though.) Further, if you're not near that, but you are in the Beta quadrant, change maps and (most of the time) you'll be placed there (if you're Federation aligned anyway - I don't know about Klingon.) or near the Sol system. - I'm not sure how it makes that selection. If you get the one where it wants you to destroy destructible torpedoes then you simply go to the Carraya system and help there. - You'll be going up against Romulan type ships so those get fired at you. You may have to be careful that you don't end them too quickly though. If you take out the ships before you get all your torpedoes, you'll either have to wait 1/2 hour to run it again or find the deep space encounters like Assimilate the Barbarians or Intelligence error (It isn't error, but the word is escaping me at the moment.) to get your count of destroyed torpedoes. (Those are some easy ones.)

What's a mandalorian doing in STO :-) I like your "more common person" approach compared to a player that might already have it all. It's a good little beginner ship. I'm not sure I'd use a X-Upgrade on a T5U, but I'm not flush with them &, again, perhaps this is the best ship a player has so this has good demonstration value for that circumstance.

the only imo good looking T6 ship i got is the Hestia. Ive been wondering if the multiverctor assaultmode and the stinky aura you can activate can be made valuable. because as of right now im not using them, because they dont seem valuable enough to " waste " 2 consoleslots at. id love to see the vectors haveing actual power behind their shots

Newb question: why do you need a kdf character? and what do you mean when you say not KDf aligned? but straight kdf? I can't do this yet since I don't have a kdf character maxed out but this is something to look forward to when I eventually get a lvl 65 kdf character...thx for this info...

You have to unlock the ability to use ships cross-faction (i.e., to use Fed ships on Klingon characters and vice versa). There are two ways. One is to purchase the ability for 1,000 zen. The other is to level a Klingon character to level 65. This has to be an actual Klingon faction character, one starting in the Klingon tutorial. Neither a Romulan nor a Jem'hadar who choses a Klingon alliance would count.

I only have Level 65 Klingon Recruit and no Jemmie, but I still have the ship on all characters (it's also also a nice admiralty card) . Did I get it with the LTS? (I honestly can't remember because there are so many ships in the store.)

I have been playing a Jem'Hadar for a several months now. Almost tier 6 in all reps... but I'm still flying this ship because I can't figure out what ship I should invest my resources in. What non C-Store ship would you recommend you move on to after this ship?

For non C store ships the one you have is pretty good. Another good one is the Hirogen Hunter Heavy Escort which you can buy off the exchange for EC cheap and has a upgrade included.

How do you upgrade the Quad cannons to XV? The ones I have, have an infinity symbol and can't be upgraded. Is there another one out there? Or a special way to upgrade it?

You should be able to. It may require you to open the upgrade window twice. Firstly, make sure the quad cannon is in your inventory, and not on the ship. I've had cases where the upgrade window opens, but the item is not showing in that window. I just right-click on the item a second time, and select upgrade again. It then appears on the window. The infinity symbol disappears, to be replaced by a mk XII (but for some items, a different mark level will appear).

There isn’t an option to select upgrade - not even a greyed out version. I’ve had the weapon in my inventory and even tried to drag it over to the upgrade screen. It just has a red box around it, as if it can’t be upgraded.

Stupid question: what level is your character? You can't upgrade ∞ items until you're above level 50.

Some can't be upgraded ever, like the standard issue weapons that come with a lot of ships. Some can, and convert to mk XII when you try to upgrade them at level 50+, then you can upgrade them as normal.

Phasers is two of the power sources I refuse to use. Well, I have it on the star ship in the current event but it's a mess about ship on one character. Mostly I use Disruptor, Plasma and polaron mainly.

Foolish, Phaser are the best DPS weapons in the game, and that's becasue there are more consoles that have buffs towards Phaser builds.

@@ileria3 Then you use it. Am not! Plasma and disruptors have just as many consoles if you are into that as your beloved phasers. As a tank I have no problems is holding on to things. The only problem I ever have is when am running a science dps. I seem to get the aggro even when am not wanting it. But on those builds I've been shoring up my defences. The oldest science dps running plasma and disruptors where he can hold his on for a couple of minutes. His main energy type is polaron and the second one is plasma. Not that my science DPS really uses any weapons per se. They have them but it's not my main attack as both of them are TO's or DrainX/EPG depending on the ship they are on. If you are looking at DPS am not bad on it as am missing a few things from fleet and rep which am still working on. So, if you like phasers so much then be my guest and you use it. Why not use antiproton which is the one I have higher than phasers but not by much.

@@leefoster4133 I don't know how much of this game you have played, but if you don't have the DOMINO Console, or the Dynamic Power Distribution Console, along with the Dominion Defense Screen that add a lot Crit chance and severity along with a few other consoles then you are not going to do well with your DPS. I play mostly a DPS Tac Officer build. I don't do Eng, or Sci. I also do well over 450K DPS on my Legendary Defiant. I also see MC using Locators Consoles. Those are no longer the go to DPS console. Exploiters are. My Defiant has 59.4 Crit Chance and 409.8 Crit Severity. and I have a screenshot to back that up. And, yes I own just about every weapon type in the game at maxed out level and Disruptors do good, but I have not had them do as well as my Phaser build does. I'm not going to tell you how to play the game, that's your choice. I'm just giving you my experience because I have played this game from day one and know it inside and out when it comes to DPS builds. You can take my advice or not that's up to you.

@@ileria3 Started the game when it first came out and became bored with it as I still do; no real end game. I swap back and forth from time to time. I have played MMO's for two decades and I know the internal game mechanics. That bit doesn't change much as it always the same basic common engine; am a programmer professionally. Normally, I run a tank or DPS on Tac, Eng and Sci. I could easily debate you on energy types. Pro's and Con's but the console debate will not help you. I see it as a handicap that most players have in this one. Without it, they are lost. At the very most I would just use no more than five at most. Two in the universal if those slots are there and one in eng, sci, and tac. You will find that I use locators and exploiters. In the TAC consoles. And am up to around 256k as I haven't check recently. I will have more in time as I don't buy ships from the c-store just to have a console and I don't pay insane prices on the exchange, nor do I use lobi because I will not buy the keys. If I get lobi otherwise then I will use it. Just not going to pay for it. So, no, am not listening to you and you are free to do whatever you want. I can't stop you nor am I interested in going through debates, convicting you otherwise, or whatever. If you want to use it and pay a ton of pounds for ships then that's your deal and I will not stop you. Do what you want. I know this game is going to increase the level cap, tier 7 ships will be out around 6-8 months I think. The providers are running out of new material as Star Trek universe is dying because of poor writers and lack of vision. And so this game like all games will die a slow death which could take years. I do this to get my mind off of things and that is it. I could be writing a new OS, application or whatever but I know the next two shoes are about to drop and the world will change for the bad. So, why toss good money out of the window? Do as you please and I'll do the same.

Difference between higher and lower tier ships are small, inconsistent and wonky. If you can't build a good build on a T5 ship you're not going to be able to with a T6 ship
