The same thing happened to me, but last year. I was at a show with Alter Bridge, Mammoth WVH, and some other band. While they were changing up the stage before Mammoth's set, this song came on over the PA. My drummer ears perked up IMMEDIATELY when I heard that opening fill, and I was blown away by ii's playing and drum sounds. Especially that snare sound, which hits like a fucking hammer. 🤯 Didn't take long to figure out who they were, and I've never looked back. Can't get enough...

It's crazy how busy his drumming style is yet at the same time he doesn't sound like he's overplaying anything. I think a lot of that is due to the way he floats around through the cymbals.

Absolutely agree. A lot of them are very difficult to hear on the original recordings, but the offerings ii has done both with drumeo and on ST's yt channel really show just how thoughtful he is with his playing. You can really hear it better on the instrumental albums too.

I cannot play drums. I sat in front of a kit once and my teacher told me I sounded like I threw it down 3 flights of stairs. Even tho I have absolute 0 talent on the kit, I can tell a person who does and ii is always a pleasure to watch. It's like watching an artist paint. Watching the delicate drum and cymbal rolls and how ii gets into it is just addicting. I love Sleep Token. I love ii. Worship!

He is the most talented drummer I've heard in a long time. Unbelievable skilled and with just the right amount of fills without destroying the rhythm, even with that many fills going on there. Very accurate and so much on point, as I can tell as a drummer myself. Sleep Token was the most interesting and the only really new thing in music in the last 10yrs and still knows how to impress and to reimagine itself. I'm not into every song but you have to admit that they're talented as f*ck! Much love and thank you so much for this video!

I find II absolutely mesmerising to watch and listen to, theres so much going on and none of it is predictable. Youre litterally on the edge of your seat trying to watch every little thing. He's clearly naturally gifted. No one else could play this because he just plays how he feels

Vessel reportedly writes, sings and plays all instruments, excluding drum parts, during studio versions/recordings himself. The other band members (III, IV, and the Vesselettes) are only involved during live performances
