So, this is actually Nakoruru's SECOND KoF. She was a hidden playable boss in the Game Boy version of KoF 95, and she was summoned to modern times because of Verse. Ash Crimson also isn't gone...Verse is a literal Time Paradox with limbs and Ash is inside him (beat the game with the official invitation team). This game isn't a dream match either. The plot is all about the ramifications of Ash's actions in the previous saga.

The reason Geese and Terry are great is precisely because of their Japanese-accented Engrish. It allows them to speak in that bombastic Japanese style that very rarely sounds good when tried by a native English speaker. There's only a small number of English-speaking voice actors who can pull that off. I think it has something to do with the Japanese language and accent coming from a different part of the throat. I noticed when I was trying to learn Japanese that I can speak with a more naturally deep voice in Japanese than I can in American English. I mean, I can go about as low, but it just doesn't sound good. I think that's what's going on with Geese at least. The voice actor they got to add his new lines in Tekken 7 is a really good deep-voiced American speaker, but even he wouldn't sound as good calling out Double Reppukens as the Japanese VA who can't pronounce the words right.

Considering the circumstances surrounding Verse, the boss of King of Fighters XIV, the next King of Fighters installment may very well be a dream match Spoilers, but Verse's death at the end of story mode brings hints that dead characters have been resurrected, such as Ash from King of Fighters XIII.

Also both Chang and Choi did use Kim's moves early on, Chang had the stomp (Haki Kyaku) and Choi had the downward bicycle kicks (Hishou Kyaku), and both had the flash kick (Hien Zan), Chang's causes him to flop down and do extra damage while Choi's travels pretty far but it's super unsafe.

Okay, so Ash is not erased. At the end of the official invitation teams end, they bring him back from being erased (so Ash for SNK HEROINE TAG TEAM FRENZY as a trap character can still happen). And Nakoruru is only here because she can jump through space time so she joins the Another World Team, so the team just consist of a bunch of weirdos jumping dimensions.

Ralf in KoF2002UM had TWO Unblockable specials. He had Galactica Phantom as a special, and a drop kick that both couldn't be blocked. EDIT: I misremembered, they have huge amounts of autoguard but the drop kick/head charge can be blocked against, but Galactica Phantom can't be.
