if you make them a building, DONT put muzzle break on them, since they dont have recoil (since building, not ship) the muzzle will only lower the accuracy/speed of the shell for litteraly nothing, just put a 1m barrel at the same place, and it will be better

Ohhhhh, my bad then, totally didn't thinked about that xD for your next campain, as you'll have little bit more ressource as you'll have a vehicle to move ressource to your base, you may want to add ammo creation to your dron so they does not rely on heavy alpha strike but very poor damage as they run out of ammo :)

Lath, for the land campaign, set your resource given from enemies up to 10%, it makes a little more sense because any scrap wont sink to the bottom of the ocean, it would just sit there, ready for the taking. Even if the enemy had some method of self destruct it would be still logical to get at least 10% back.

Logical as it may be Lath would become the super-steamroller almost immediately. Those three Sand Raiders at the end would have netted him over 1k instead of just over 100. Additionally, getting it over with too quick would sit well with none of Gork, Mork, nor Khorne. I mean, what happens after you win? A long, mostly boring trip to the next battleground. A meatgrinder is the best mode of war.

General Snug- head of the onyx watch millitary- 3 days after declaring war on the lathrixian scrap heap. Today, we crushed the Lathrixian scrap heap. On the first day after we declared war, we sent out a small fleet to convince the owner of the scrap pile- Lathrix, I believe- to surrender his land and supplies. The fleet did not return. The next day, we saw blue flashes over the direction of the scrap monster, which may have been an attack- so we sent another fleet to check out the scrap house, and arrived there surrounded by the worst turrets on earth. We destroyed the turrets and took the land. The war over scrap continues...

Lathrix rushed to the storage section of the Watering Hole, feverishly searching for what could be his last hope of salvation. After what felt like ages, he finally uncovered them: the old blueprints. They were the schematics which made the ancient empire, the blood empire. The designs were numerous and powerful, but also too costly for a scrapper such as he. He went on through the night, contemplating how to solve this issue. 'Perhaps I can modify the weapons a bit. Perhaps I can add bits of wood here and there. They don't need that much armor, do they? Perhaps their engines could be a tad cheaper. Perhaps..."

Oh dear, that was quite a walloping, just a chain of battles bleeding ya dry. Now I know you'll be having another go (for great vengeance) but at some point you may want to pop onto the devtest to see some changes. They came in a day after your previous video and have a ton of exciting updates. APS have a few QoL features added to make managing them easier, spinblocks can be rotated to static positions without ACBs, turrets can be given desired rotation speeds, ACBs can be turned on and off manually or with other ACBs, and a few more things. Oh, did I mention you'll be able to place spinblocks and turrets on other spinblocks and turrets? Because you can! But wait, there's more! In addition to spinblocks and turrets there's a new subobject block you can also stack with, pistons! Need I really say more?

You should also consider not declaring war early. You likely caused the game to bug out when you declared war on the Dustwind, which is what caused you to get several factions to gang up on you all at once

The amount of enemies that declare war on you is random after the 1 hour mark aside from the Dustwind which will always declare war at that moment. Declaring early seemed to not even begin the dustwind attacks haha!

I can understand the loss, last time I tried this campaign (on easy mind you) the first enemy to attack was a 2-part mech with munitions defense and shields. The little damage i did was instantly healed by the base of the mech, and it hard countered my missile based warfare. All in all the campaign lasted me about an hour and a half before loosing.

Also, the resource truck you talk about in the end, clearly, thats your scrap delivery truck, re-purposed just like the drones. Glorious defeat, well done for trying right to the end! I think perhaps attempting to knock your drone together in game & not concentrating on getting established didn't help ( also meant the drone was perhaps a bit rushed... ). Fixed defence vs OW is not going to work though - I lost over 240k of tanks in one battle thanks to the hull having an issue with some OW territory & getting stuck. Kinetic rounds vs LH ( shielded ) aren't really going to work either... What might be fun to try is an ultra-cheap mothership copter with subvehicle turrets, that way all your turrets can take avoiding action without each of them costing a fortune - and you can replace each subvehicle easily. I don't agree about frag being all you need for the campaign - low gauge frag won't burn through a Scarab armour for instance ( not in any great hurry - meanwhile one single HEAT shot will destroy it ), and you'll take forever to get anywhere with an OW tank as well. It's still great at dealing with lighter vehicles as it should be, but then so is HE. Frag works, but then nearly anything works if you hurl enough of it.

Okay, here's a plan. Build Seekers to ferry your scrap. Build Drones with a good gun on them. Don't declare war on people. Build cheap defenses around your extractors so they don't just die when attacked.

Lath, for an orky campaign, do not use only wood, but also stone and metal- the three 'low tech' materials... Orks in 40k ( As you should know) salvage materials, so you can also make your craft look like the they have been thrown together from salvaged parts. It could be interesting seeing you trying to deal with using no heavy armor in the late game. By the way, I think you should change you rule of no frag shells to no narrow cone frag.

Build a very fast resource vehicle first then spam really good turrets around your main base. Try and get some form of mothership operational as fast as you can which can stomp the first waves.

People, like this so Lathrix can see it. I think I know why you have three enemies. For the sake of explanation, the dust wind gypsies are faction one, the Oynx Watch faction 2, and the Lighting hoods faction 5 (because I think that is their labeled faction number). You were only supposed to fight faction 5 and faction 1. I think the war-start code says the first available one and a random. Since you already declared war on faction one, the next was faction 2. The aggressiveness and war pop-up are coded to start at the one hour mark.

Interesting theory honestly! But I can confirm it is random how many enemies declare war after an hour, with the exception of the Dustwind that always declare war at that moment. It can be as little as just Dustwind, or as many as all of them!

Lathrix, I'm considering to get From the Depths when I can save up enough money to buy a computer, but I've had rebellious thoughts in my head telling me to not to for several reasons. While I love the idea of building my own personalized armada and air force, I'm not patient and would probably released half-baked designs that would have several problems because I didn't take the time to fix everything. Now if I was motivated to do this, that's another story. I love the idea of a challenge, but I usually take the cowards way out. So, I ask of you, for your personal opinion, should I buy the game, or should I move on.

You know... The one thing I still cant get down is how to get my Advanced Cannons to be accurate.... I mean, they can hit the broad side of a barn at 1000meters, but cant hit the same few blocks until you get to 300-500. Ive even used the shell designs Lathrix does but I cant get my cannons to be as good as his.

The biggest problem with the turrets is that they are stationary. If you have them bobbing around in the air they would have a chance at least.

Very true, but even the really basic movement versions I made as a joke in a build video (Tiny engine, basic air AI, minimum thrusters) Still almost doubled the cost! The turrets are so amazingly cheap for their damage output vs smaller targets, but honestly you are very right and that's why the drones were made, even made an advanced cannon version in the designer but never got to show it off! :P
