loveournewtop I don't think of it as in terms of being mean or if someone eats at McDonald's or not two times a year or everyday. I just noticed it was a vlog that said "fit mom". I just thought it would be healthier. If I had clicked on someone just trying to save money on groceries (there are many of them), I wouldn't have commented at all.

When you work out a lot you need to get calories in you quickly. So sugars and fats are important. If you are trying to loose weight these are not the foods for you. Not one person in this family has weight to loose so they need to eat way more calories than the charts state for an average person their ages because they all work out. This Lady is fit, she is slim, shes a fitness teacher, and her family looks great. If you sit on your bum al day though by all means don’t eat empty calories, you’ll get fat!

+Momof3inIdaho , great questions! I am posting a menu planning video hopefully today if I can get my computer program to work! Plus, check out the stockpile video, that should answer any questions about how much food we already have - it's craziness! I live in southeast Idaho, but I have lots of friends from Caldwell area. All the people commenting about what you eat. Lol. Get off her ass people, worry about yourself. I am having a hard time believing this is for a whole month tho. For a family of four? Do you guys eat out on top of that? That cereal is the best deal. That will last a long time. Awesome haul, but that wouldn't last my family of three a month.

At 64 cents per pound it would be healthier for your family to eat oatmeal instead of all those GMO/pesticide laced sugary cereals. I do commend you, however, for meeting your budget, and I did see a good amount of veges. But aside from bananas NO FRUIT??

If there's a grocery outlet in your area, I would recommend it. You can get organic healthy options for as little as a dollar on some items. I think Winco is cheap if you want unhealthy processed GMO based foods. It doesn't cost a lot to eat healthy. I did enjoy your video though , I did eat like that in College when I was on a strict Budget.

I wish I could only spend $200 a month for groceries. I live in Louisiana and a carton of eggs that's 12 eggs cost $3.78 cents one gallon of milk is $4.49 that's the cheap store brand cereal for one box $4.99 that's just basic meat is out of this world high.

+Nomuzzies allowed you're speaking as if every place in the states has the same standard of living. In New York EVERYTHING is really expensive. I pay just about what you do for those items as well. And because things cost more in Canada, the average minimum wage is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than in the states. And don't discount the currency difference either.

This food doesn't seem that good for you. You could have gotten real oatmeal for probably less money and better for you. You could have gotten raw beans to throw in a slow cooker. If you eat meat, throw a link or two of lean sausage, pretty economical. Spaghetti with marinara sauce. Low sugar cookies are pretty cheap, like animal crackers or Graham Crackers. You didn't have to buy all that processed junk and still had a low grocery bill.
@Lyca31

All that awful sugary cheap cereal. it's not good to feed that stuff to kids..... and so many instant noodles. I understand not having a lot of money but you can buy some healthy food cheaply.. at least in England you can.. For cereal I get plain cornflakes (without the gross frosting) or shredded wheat or just porridge oats.. I guess different families eat differently..
@rpaq1025
@rpaq1025 8 жыл бұрын
lyca31-the USA government subsidize all the wheat, soy corn and dairy farmers so it makes all the junk food, processed food and drinks really cheap, the USA does not subsidize fresh fruit or vegetable farmers so it is expensive to buy it, that's why this nation is so sick and fat, and it's mainly the poor who are because they can't afford to eat right. PS all cold cereal is bad for you even just cornflakes. breakfast is the most important meal of the day you should eat a full meal not a sugary snack like cornflakes... on this video she did better then most people, the worst was the cereal. most people eat cereal and don't know any better.
@donnaleeclubb119
@donnaleeclubb119 6 жыл бұрын
Lyca31 You can get cheap healthy food in the United States also. Oatmeal, chicken, turkey, bagged apples year round and in season fruit, cabbage and other greens (she had some. I would have had more), beans, spaghetti, spicey tomatoes in a can low sodium. She had spaghetti sauce in a jar (some gross looking cheese thing). I would have gotten just plain marinera sauce and a can of tomatoe paste to thicken it. If you REALLY are hard up with a tight budget, Carnation Instant Milk mixed with half a gallon of regular milk and half a gallon of water can stretch your milk budget. I could go on. I put my husband through college years ago. I KNOW how to stretch a budget.
