I've done other yoga classes both in person and online and what I like about yours is how you describe where we should be feeling the pull and how to modify if it's too much or too little. I've recently gone through PT for a left knee injury, so I'm finding your beginner videos useful in getting back in shape without pushing myself too hard.

Hi there. , I used to be a regular member right from the beginning but a mountain bike accident in May 2018 causing severe brain trauma put an end to my membership. Having just the 1 wage coming in meant monthly subs went out the window, apart from the fact I wasn't able to do THEN what I am able to do NOW! Good hey. But I was encouraged by my husband to get back into Man Flow Yoga so I DID. Didn't want to run before I could walk so tried The Beginners session. THANKS FOR THIS, IT WAS BRILLIANT! I am now lovely and warm , stretched and getting on my Wattbnike. (I used to be an instructor in cycling and had 5 in my studio. Much has CHANGED but I am back driving have moved to acreage have my own horse and getting better all the time. God is faithful!). You are so good and much APPRECIATED!

I'm a 70 year old, very stiff bodied man. Just finished my 4th workout whilst in covid isolation. Feeling some benefit already, but its going to take time! I've been a few yoga classes locally and never felt any benefit. Your classes are better! Thanks

Hi Dean returning after six months, lockdowns really dragged me down but I’m back at spin classes in the evenings which lets me follow your videos during daytime. I’m getting on at 59yrs and have a terrible tendency to roll my back so your focus on straight back and breathing is really helping. This was my first time doing yoga. 56, out of shape. This session was great! Easy to follow, you don't need to be watching the screen all the time, because his instructions are great! I feel great after doing this, but I know I am going to be a bit sore later.

I started CrossFit and can’t do some of the squat exercises, especially overhead squat because my body is so inflexible. I plan to do this before each workout, but might need to reduce it to 10min since I don’t have much time before class starts. I figure as I do this more, it will naturally take less time as I go from one movement to the next. Thanks!

Gonna try this workout hopefully today. Thanks for not using 'yoga teacher voice' and keeping instructions on point and focused on what you know we're gonna be thinking and moreover what we wouldn't know to think about, like chest position etc. Just a short constructive note if I may...I find it really helps when you specify the number of breaths and would be grateful if you could do that in each pose 👍

You're welcome, Adam! I would probably punch myself in the face if I used yoga teacher voice. Sometimes I do number of breaths, sometimes I don't. Depends on the workout. If it's focused on technique, I won't have time to say breaths. Either way, you'll get a great workout. :-)

@@ManFlowYoga actually, from doing some of your other workouts on youtube I totally get that..because I might stay longer than you in a pose to get more progress if I feel like my body's working with me, lol. Hey, can I ask, do you do weights as well or just MFY? I can't imagine getting the mass and definition in the arms/shoulders/thighs without another workout? (I'm primarily doing your workouts for flexibility/mobility and to learn how to engage my body 'intelligently' if that makes sense, but eventually wanna get closer to where you're at)

@@adamkhan7234 Yup, I do weights. And I recommend everybody does! You can get really strong with bodyweight only, but it takes so much more time and effort. Make it more efficient and grab some weights. Man Flow Yoga helps you learn proper mechanics to help you lift more effectively and safely, too.

Question: when you say squeeze your legs together while in the lunges, do you mean squeeze back and front towards each other or more of a side to side squeeze together (horizontal). Not sure if I phrased that correctly, hopefully you get what I’m asking. Side note, of the dozens of instructors I’ve taken yoga from, Dean’s description of the poses and specific adjustments are by far the best, thank you!

Hey buddy, thank you for the class today! I want to start easy for a week before I check out your 1 week trial and really get in to it. One question; I know the breathing is very important in yoga and I can also feel the difference once I do think about it but what confuses me at times is when you say breath in and out through the nose yet I can hear your breathing out through your mouth which I also tend to do. Is that ok to do that? It feels like I have a better breath out and can empty my lungs if/when I do it. Thanks again, it was real nice.

Thank you for the great question! Dean sometimes ends up breathing through his mouth because he is speaking during the routine. Ultimately it's important to breath in and out through your nose but if you end up using your mouth it's not the end of the world :)

This might sound like a dumb question, but I am trying yoga to help recover from back issues. One issue I have always had with yoga is the spare tire getting in the way of some of the positions. I have battled with my weight for years and it now all resides in my abdomen, can yoga still help with sciatica if you cant get into all the positions. Not so flexible either, but I know that changes in time.

@@ManFlowYoga I sure did! I was wondering if you also have a yoga video for people with shin splints? I noticed i had to modify some of the stances because would but too much pressure on my shins.

I've been away from yoga for far too long, and this was a great way to find a path back to it. My only recommendation would be that you end the workout with a corpse pose or a child's pose -- some relaxing transition. Regardless, this was great!

Whuf! Yes! I was chunking along OK until that chair pose /squat pose at 23:30. Man, that killed my glutes! But it was all good. Enjoyed learning the butterfly pose, and that hands above head, leaning pose at 22:15. Feel now like my hip, glutes and butt really earned their couch potato moment!
