I didn't know there was a bigger tool than Krennic but we found one and it is his Krennic's Apprentice. Also, i am loving this book, but some of the suspense is diffused by knowing what happens in rebels but the trade off is lots of rebels waster eggs and the recurring reminder that this whole galaxy interlocks

To me it was funny watching Ronan be wrong about the death star the entire time. Also I disagree about it being Thrawn’s worst book. What I have always liked about him is his ability to solve problems and to come up with the solutions that he does. I also like the degree of research that he does about the problem in order to solve it. And until he stops doing that which he won’t I think I am going to enjoy anything Timothy Zon puts out. Also I really like the degree of action that we got in the book.

there was a small part where the other grand Admiral said that "of course no one could impersonate or imitate thrawn" wich was for me a small reference to the legends Thrawn cycle where an actor plays his role

It feels like Zahn is implying that Dayja is DJ from Last Jedi. A master slicer who sometimes has an unusual speech pattern and a name that could be easily shorted to DJ, it doesn’t feel like too much of a leap.

@@StarWarsExplained Don't know if you have time or interest in the game, but I personally strongly recommend playing it just for the story! Many interesting lore aspects about literally anything you can think of and more. From the Sith trials on Korriban to Mandalorian traditions, Revanites and the Chiss, very much worth doing a "lore play" on if you ever feel like it! It is more Star Wars content, after all. Anyway, I feel like I've advertised the game enough, but I think it would be so great to have people be more aware of the most chaotic era in Star Wars. If you've taken the time from your day to read this, then I hope you consider it. Love this channel, keep it up!

Spoilers for Treason: One of the sub-plots was Eli having been tasked with examining data on Chiss force users with a mind to increasing the age at which Chiss can use the force. I'd guess Thrawn took Ezra to the Chiss Ascendancy, to train their force users.

Tarkin is so far the only Grand Moff that we know of. There could be more but we have never seen them.

Brandon Travis Rodriguez There’s been a few. Grand Moff Lozen Tobruck appears in Life Debt, although I guess it’s not explained if he’s self promoted or an actual one. An actual one is Rannd, who was one of the last Grand Moffs appointed before Palpatine died. He’s also in Life Debt and Empire’s End, and is still active afterwards. I reckon there’s more but no set amount unlike the Grand Admirals

Brandon Travis Rodriguez I think Tarkins definitely unique in his ambition, loyalty, and aggression. The only one with any notable development is Rannd, and he lacks Tarkins tactical ability and is a coward, albeit loyal to the Empire’s cause. We had loads of lame GMs in Legends so I hope they make some good ones for the new canon

@@jackpelleaon55 Ahh Rannd sounds like he might be similar to the former Admiral Oziel. One who is very loyal to the empire but clearly doesn't deserve such a high position of power. Hopefully we will see some competent leaders in the future for the Empire. All too often many of them tend to either be incompetent or spend more time fighting amongst each other trying to gain a higher position of power.

Additionally, the last time we saw one of the only known pre-war force-users (Ezra), he was on Thrawn's Star Destroyer. I'd guess Thrawn took Ezra to the Chiss Ascendancy, to train their force users; we got confirmation that the Chiss were looking into increasing the age their force users can still wield the force in Treason. Hell... I'd almost wager Thrawn smeared the Chimaera in Purgill-bait and actually orchestrated the whole thing. This is *Thrawn* we're talking about.
