0:59 technically yes the pink panther CAN be a lion because a panther cat doesn't actually exist. Panther is actually referring to the cat sub order called panthera which includes cats like lions, leopards, Jaguars, and snow leopards. This also means that black Panthers technically DO exist but they aren't a specific type of cat. Its any one of the previously stated cats that have a greater amount of a certain type of chemical (I forget what it's called) in their fur. So technically a lion could be a black panther if it had black fur. An over abundance of this chemical is actually more common in Jaguars so most "black Panthers" are just jaguars with black fur. U can tell bc if u look closely u can see the jaguar spots on their fur. There's also another chemical that can turn fur a strawberry red kind of color (basically a light pink) and this also happens in the previously stated big cats. So technically a pink panther does exist and its either a lion, jaguar leopard, or snow leopards (which are called panthera bc they're apart of the panthera family of big cats) with a certain chemical that turns fur slightly pink.
