Yash, where do you get the idea of the existence of souls? It’s just wishful thinking on your part that keeps you content. But it doesn’t pass the test of scrutiny. It’s just a simple fallacy; get woked!

Like your style, dude - no artificial drama nor corny ‘jokes’ to own the libs, just show the terrain and a glimpse of the lifestyle, give some facts, and let the viewer reach their own conclusions. As they say, different strokes…and likely a more mature/older audience. Well done.

I watched your video 4 weeks ago before I flew there myself. When I first watched your video, I was still thinking, "Oh God, what have I gotten myself into?" I had never been on a vacation like this before in my life, been there for 3 weeks now, and I've been back home since last Thursday. I can say without a doubt that this trip was the best thing I have done in many years. I recognized many of the places in your video now watching it again. The whole vacation was indescribably beautiful. The people, the nature and (even) the food. It's like another world for a German, like me.

It really makes me think about what it could have been like in that moment of an earthquake realising the sheer power of the worlds forces and how insignificant we all are. You did a great job of editing and bringing this village to many people's minds. 🙏

This video I keep coming back to and it makes me happy every time! I keep looking forward to going to the Himalayas myself, and it looks like that might happen later this year. Until then, just wanted to say what a wonderful guide you've made, and that you've given this place the justice it deserves, without editing the sound and adding music over. You brought these mountains closer to the viewer. :) Keep it up Gabriel, hope to see more treks from you in this region in the future!

Dude i found your channel yesterday and you just keep walking the exact same footsteps i did in India and Nepal. The Goa, Gokarna, Hampi episode and now the Langtang trail is basically reliving my journey with you as a travel buddy :) Thank you very much for this! Sadly it looks like one of the lodges where we stayed just below Langtang Village does not exist anymore still hoping the lovely Pema and his Family are alive. But happy to see other familiar faces still alive. Keep exploring :)

I am pretty sure Nepal will be the next country I visit in the area. I could easily spend a few months there just wandering. After over a year being trapped on an island in the cold north and still snowing its slowly killing me not being able to move. Just sort of spoiled like yourself traveling everywhere. It is not a life for most people but in my case I feel blessed.

I'm glad you finally started saying Langtang correctly at around 1 hour in. Also, would be nice if you respect the customs by walking on the left side of the mani wall and stupa. It's a great sign of disrespect not to walk on the left of this sacred sites. Many stupas (not all obviously) contain relics of monks. I was here in 2003 and yes, it's grown tremendously. Shame about the landslide but it happens a lot in the Himalaya.

I have been lately binge watching your videos - wonderful and informative. Kind of late to be posting this here - on languages you mention. Hindi and Nepali are from the Indo European language family (the Indo iranian branch of Indo European language family), while Tibetan is from the Tibeto Burman language family, so they are totally unrelated. As for Tibetan people - yes National borders and Nations are relatively new constructs - and people would migrate and flow quite a bit in the past. Tibetan people are related to a lot of other people in India/Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan. Sherpas of nepal are a Tibetan group. Ladakhis and Sikkimese of India (Bhutias and Lepchas tribes of Sikkim), and Bhutanese people are also of Tibetan origin and speak a similar language. Another interesting factoid - we now know that Tibetan people have picked up genes from an archaic human branch called Denisovans (just like Non Africans have Neanderthal genes). These genes are especially adept at providing protection from hypoxia and pulmonary edema at high altitudes.
