I wanna see the hero of trains come back as this adult super buff experienced adventurer, complete with slaying ganondorf with a train he could pick up with his own strength during his youth. On par agility with a fully powered train, master swordsmanship skills and engineering mindset all other links could only wish to rival. Idk maybe he hops around different timelines, taking op items from all over the series as a reward for helping each timeline's links... maybe he could come on to whatever comes after breath of the wild.

You also know that this isn't a normal occurrence at all due to the reactions of some of the castle staff in the beginning of the game so it just a normal thing in new hyrule to have children as engineers.

Keane Robin Powerful enemies can’t be frozen by stasis. The Fierce Deity is one of the most powerful characters in The Zeldaverse and Nothing BOTW Link has can really beat him. The Ancient Arrows aren’t as powerful as the Light Arrows, And his Runes and champion power-ups can be matched (Mipha’s Grace-Fairies Daruk’s protection-Nayru’s love or their indestructible Hylian Shield). Urbosa’s fury is the only thing that can’t be imitated but even then, I don’t the stun would be enough to defeat him. Not to mention it’s said that his Master Sword is weakened and was already outshined by the Helix sword.

In all, very well done video and I do very much agree that The Hero of Time is the strongest due to the advent of Majora's Mask with TP Link being a close second and ALTTP Link being third. Almost got me with that Curve ball in which the Masks, Time travel and connection to the Hero's Shade wasn't introduced till the end. Great Video MatPat. Spirit Track final boss, Malledus, was to my knowledge the biggest foe in terms of scale that any link has faced (save for Stalord, but he never gets any love either). Now take into account that he fights him alone *while* protecting Zelda, performs a beautiful duet with her to awaken her sacred power, then face him for the final battle as team of 2. And who does the killing blow come from? Both of them who use all their strength to drive the not-Master Sword into the demon's skull. It pains me that this game never got the love it deserved, now they're scared to take risks like that again..

Okay, so I was interested in HOW EXACTLY the Links would be ranked up in a complete list, so I did the math. I listet up every category MatPat uses and which Links are mentioned there. I don't know the 2D games so well, besides A Link to the Past and Oracle of Seasons, so please keep that in mind. I did research on Zeldawiki when I was in doubt though. I tried to rank the Links by points ranging from 0 to 3. The winner gets up to 3 points, follow-ups who also stand out get 2 or 1 point(s), while every not-outstanding Link gets 0 points. If there are more Links than 3 in a category, I included decimal numbers (by x.5). Not entirely sure about my mathematical distribution, but I think it works in general. I did allow myself to make some additions here and there MatPat didn't mention, but I still felt were worth noticing. Also note that this comparison is by now changed and expanded upon multiple times, so it probably will get more and more diverse from MatPat's version in the future. So, let's get started! I always feel that the Hero of Legend pretty much trumps the rest by virtue of defeating Ganon without the aid of any component of the Triforce. Pablo Gonzalez Blacksmithing is the overarching term for forging iron and steel. This is because when you place iron in a fire its outer layer will form a shiny black oxide layer, hence BLACKsmithing. A Sword smith is blacksmith but they specialize in the creation of swords. This requires skills like beveling a blade, tempering and then inealing the blade so it wont break. Then they would have sharpen the blade so it wasn't so dull that it wouldn't cut, but not so sharp that it would easily be damaged by hitting something to hard. Swordsmiths also had to know a bit of carpentery to make the handle of the sword. Back in the day swords would have been incredibly expensive. Each one practically a work of art. And messing one up wound have been a massive setback, even to the richest. All in all sword smithing was way to specialized for most blacksmiths to bother learning how to do, not to mention that the nobility was wary of letting peasants know how to make weapons of war in case of a revolt. The problem with Majora's Mask Hero of Time is one thing. He's more than one person which you said was a 'no no' in the beginning. He fuses himself with the spirits of himself (Deku), Darmani (Goron) and Mikau (Zora). Not to mention, he can only use Fierce Diety in boss battles.

True but not the same thing. The thing that makes this legitimate is the fact that these masks are magical items that have been imbued with the souls of previous heroes, which allows link to assume their form (sort of) with his body. It isn't a true multi person issue as there is still only one link on the playing field. If the masks allowed you to assume control of the spirits (gaining all same abilities) but still left link on the playing field, that would be different. Also, since there is a very legitimate glitch which allows you to roam around as Fierce Deity outside of boss battles, it doesn't discount his power in that form. Hell the guy is tall enough to climb certain walls in clock town.

I got my timeline wrong anyways guys. I came on here to edit my comment after looking back at my Hyrule Historia. The official timeline dates Twilight Princess after Majora's mask. It could be more of a mentor thing as well, and the only "officially" related Links I can think of are Wind Waker/Phantom hourglass and Spirit Tracks Link, they might not be though but it seems likely. Also, for the Hero's Shade to be the Hero of Time, as stated by Nintendo, the whole 'Link died as a child in Majora's Mask' would also have to be incorrect, since the Hero's Shade is a full grown skeleton and Majora's Mask like was a child. Again I am probably rambling nonsense but I am trying to be smart!! It just always seemed right for me to imagine the Shade and Twilight Princess Link to be Father and Son, and I always want to know about relations in the Zelda series.

Hero of Twilight, calling it at the beginning of the video...okay wait a minute: Twilight can wrestle a goron, so the goron mask isn't that special. Twilight's swimming ability is the same as the zora mask essentially. Wolf form is more agile than the damn bird even, much less the deku scrublord. Also, Young Hero of Time only had the skill to teach the Hero of Twilight after an obviously extensive amount of time. You forgot that all these masks have extra abilities: Goron mask : extra tanky + spikes when you roll Zora mask : underwater karate + fin boomerangs Deku mask : ability to fly between flowers,+ kind of water walking And then there's the feirce deity mask that just allow insane stuff and insane magic (those magic missiles shot after each sword hit are pretty much like ganondorf magic, don't expect blocking them a shield) Oh and there also is Giant mask that.... turns you into a giant. @@Lwwnjso276 his items augment his skills. all his strength boosting rings, gloves and boots. plus hero of legend has more than three games worth of experience, enough canes magic bottles and medallions to out last anyone and carries the sharpest master sword in the series. plus overpowered equipment like the magic cape which makes him invisible and invincible, cane of byrna which makes him invincible and damages enemies, hookshot, mirror shield which reflects all projectile attacks, silver arrows, magic boomerang and the blue tunic to negate 75% of incoming damage. tp link is sheerly outlasted by this link. and thats not even including the lore or verses-battle version of link. they didnt name him Hero of Legend for nothing.

Aren't we forgetting something.... The Link from the Phantom Hourglass (i.e. the link from wind waker basically) has the POWER TO STOP TIME..... No matter who his opponent is, all he has to do is STOP TIME and BOOM, Lights Out of his competition.....!!!!!!!!!!

So meanwhile till he finishes playing the flute Link of phantom hourglass decides to throw his sword aside and enjoy the show...? the link of phantom hourglass will have more than enough time to kick link's butt before he finishes playing the flute... even if the majora's link is very far, the phantom hour glass link will jus stop time as soon as he sees the other one start palying the melody.... he will never kno what hit him.... :p :p

Allan Dsouza The Hero of Wind cannot stop time on his own. He needed Ciela to do so, and she needed to store energy. It was also incredibly temporary and he could only land a few hits at a time with it. Granted, it was against Bellum, but the time stopping still showed to be incredibly short.

Allan Dsouza 1. MM Link would be running around Benny Hill style with his Bunny Hood (can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man) 2. When MM Link slows down time, he'd be running even faster to PH Link 3. When MM Link slows down time, it's permanent until he speeds it back up, unlike the Phantom Hourglass, which does whatever the *:-)* it wants 4. MM Link knows what's up, he's seen it before with OoT Ganondorf. Tennis has strengthened his reflexes.

***** You're kind of missing the point. MM Link can slow, speed up or reverse time, but that's it. He can't stop it from moving. So even if he does use a time slowing spell to try to get the upper hand, PH Link can just stop it and move freely while MM Link is frozen, unable to move to bend time back to his will. Granted, PH Link needs condensed orbs of energy produced by Ciela to do this, but if he was anything like the way I played him, he stockpiled a lot of those orbs and had plenty left over after defeating BellumBeck. Plus, there's no context for him leaving the Phantom Sword behind, so it's entirely possible.

Chris Dietrich not really botw link it out of all links the strongest starters bow combat he would blown people out of the water but using a tripe shot now cosidring frost arrows freeze your opponents he can also jump and go slowmoo having time to aim perfectly and not get shot himself then come mounts links has an assortment of mount at his disposal but he can also get epona and he could get stronger mounts them abilities all the champions abilities would destroy the competition if no link could use healing items botw link is in luck Mipha grace if link is ever killed he is healed fully once and restored to basically new leaving all of his tired and hurt opponents in a bad spot ravile gale has not real combat abilities but can help him use his slowdown time abilities to shoot arrows daruks protection lets link blow 3 attacks off then comes Urbosa abilities if all the links were to target him he could hit every single one in a circle around 3 times agility wise he is probably the 3rd best as he can climbs almost vertically and runs for a good while sword play botw link is shown to practice allot before the events of botw and the new thing for link well trained in all types of weapons from large two handed made for Gordon’s to tiny spears made for bobklins regards to strength link is top 3 carry weapons lighting objects and pushing giant metal cubes makes him pretty strong botw links is probably the smartest while not having to complete 9 dungeons he has to do 4 all with their puzzles and a boss then the shrines there is so many each testing a differ part of link abilities from puzzles to combat power botw link is more prepared for anything from losing his weapons and armor to fighting enemies much larger and stronger then him all in all botw links is overpowered against other links and I did not even mention the runes abilities

DarkWolf gaming what do you mean fighting much larger and stronger enemies, twinmold is the largest boss in the zelda series, plus he has the Giants mask, fierce deity mask and the stone mask which makes him invisible, and he has unbreakable equipment, his adult self has nayrus love which makes him invincible while botw link only has the cheap version, he also has the ocarina of Time which can control weather, teleport him, put people to sleep or awaken them, travel forward or backwards in time and call 4 protector gods.

Rey Chavarria Jr. Ocarina, because she actually DOES SHIT (although she does it as Sheik, technically). Wind Waker Zelda is a little badass, too, though (until the sequel, where she SUCKS). Twilight Zelda is really cool, and she has a sword, but she doesn't really DO anything with it. She just kind of stands around and gives you story. She uses light arrows to fight at one point, but so does Wind Waker Zelda. Almost shockingly, Spirit Tracks Zelda is a hot contender, too, since she's your companion for the whole game and she can possess suits of armor. If you're counting Hyrule Warriors, then that Zelda, because you can play as her and she fights on the battlefield with her soldiers.
