Watching this brings me back to when i was around 6 to 7 years old playing gears 3 for the first time after playing gears 1 and 2 and was amazed at the graphics upgrade but now with the 4k graphics with the series x si ce i skipped getting the one x i was flustered with the extra graphical upgrades, also when you get to a certain part of the game you gonna tear up thats all im saying

Fun Fact: While the developers were still making Gears 3, they allowed everyone on xbox live to buy one of two free avatar Tshirt's for their Xbox live avatars. One Tshirt had 'Kill Carmine' on it, and the other said 'Save Carmine' on it, and whichever one people chose the most, would decide if Carmine survived. As for which outcome most gamers voted for? i guess you'll find out..

I'm not sure if anyone else talks about it, but during the two year time skip between Gears of War 2 and 3, they mention people like Michaelson, who is the leadeing character since Hoffman went to Anvil Gate. Michaelson is a veteran navy member who is well respected amongst the soldiers. and he's the entire reason the Gears even have the huge ships availabe that you see in Gears 3. All of the ships were supposed to be surrended for destruction so it could be reclaimed for guns and ground vehicles, but Michaelson kept two aircraft carriers secret just in case they were ever needed, and 17 years later, here they are, one the last refuges for humanity and a mobile one as well. Those Lambent, squids or krakens, whatever they're called are also a major enemy to the gears and why they were forced to move away from their island that they had, because the lambent were just too dangerous, so they left before they got trapped. I'm glad you noticed Carmine quick. he is the oldest, and by far the strongest Carmine brother. He is strong enough to literally choke a locust drone to death one single bare hand. Also, luckily for us, he doesn't have defective helmet

My favorite game in the series. Trust me when I say, you will cry by the end of this. Just a tip, never get too close to any of the lambent drudges (the fat guys that sprout long arms or legs.) this is probably the most terrifying plague in any game since the flood from halo. possible spoilers, not for the game, but for a novel about the series The reason they lost the battle when marcus went to save his father is he had been ordered to bring a hammer of dawn targeting beacon up to the frontlines. when they picked the beacon up, it was in two peices, the laser was seperated, which marcus held onto. When they got to the bridge they were meant to hold, and his father called for help, he was ordered not to go, which he disobeyed. He gave over the hammer of dawn, but not its targeting laser, meaning it didnt work, and they were pushed back, hence why he is in jail for being a traitor at the start of the first game

Got to meet Clayton Carmine, the Grub killer himself. Some things you may miss, he has a tattoo of Ben and Anthony on his arm. And occasionally during combat if he gets a kill will say "That was for Anthony! And Benjamin!". Anthony and Ben were also the 2 Gears with you in the beginning cinematic, their deaths are actually pretty ingrained in Marcus' head as 2 young soldiers he failed to save. And to answer your question, Clayton is the oldest brother. Ben was the youngest, and Anthony and the unknown brother are the middle brothers

Fighting for both the brothers that he lost unfairly due to the war with the Locust. Also if you squint, you might be able to catch both the tattoo of both Anthony and Benjamin on his arm as well as the words 'Grub Killer' on his chest plate. He's really built different in the game compared to his siblings. Probably why I love him so much ;)

Man this Series takes me back to when I first played these with my brothers on release day, I still remember getting goosebumps whenever the new game at the time was booting up. Thanks for bringing those memories back and I hope you enjoy your journey through this game and the rest if you decide to go further into the sequels. Also, have you ever considered looking at the Easter eggs and secrets when you finish a game? I ask because I remember Gears 1, 2, and 3 had some notable Easter eggs that stick with you. I remember on a multiplayer map in 1, flowers could be spawned on those ash corpses to respect them. And then there one where you fight a Giant fire breathing gold chicken, I'll let you figure out when that happens.

Here's some new gameplay , tips and tricks u can now do in Gears of war 3 1. u can stick grenades on to walls now, in case u want to set up traps against any enemies. 2. if a enemy locust is down slowly bleeding u can press "X" button to grab and press "up" on the d-pad to stick a grenade and kick them. 3 u can do executions with all Weapons, to do it if a locust is down bleeding, go near and Hold "Y" button to Slice them up. And if u take out a grenade and hold "Y" u will begin to Beat locust Bare Fisted and keep taping "Y" 20 times until u hear a "Bonk" sound effect . 4 u can switch weapons with a A.i or CO-OP teammate , to do it aim at a closes teammate to switch theirs guns to u. 5. U can press "b" to kick Lambent Polyp (the creepy Spider thing) Tickers if their to close , and downed Locusts . And lastly number 6, fun fact if ur playing on Easy/Causal mode , if u get shot and ur down bleeding, don't tap "A" to crawl , stay still and keep Taping "A" a bunch and u can revive ur self , if ur teammates r too far away from u. That's all tips and tricks for any new gears of war 3 players.

Tip: If and when an enemy is downed walk up and hold Y. Most if not all weapons in Gears 3 have a unique execution. Including the heavy weapons like the Mulcher and Mortar. Also fun fact: Before Gears 3 released they had a vote on whether Clayton Carmine lived or died, which is partly why they keep teasing him dying during Cole part. The players literally decided whether he died or not. In order not to spoil anything, all I'll say is you'll know which vote won at the end.

oh yeah i forgot Captain Michaelson: he is a marine ship captain and did a lot of great work for many years. After Jacinto sunk he helped put together crews for boats so the Gears could live aboard them. also those realy big lambent ones i call the vengeance assholes...cause when they blow up their explosion is just unfair in how dangerous it is. 1:05:52 XD poor Clay...it's twice as funny if you think about his brother.

Clayton Carmine is da oldest and most decorated of da Carmine brothers soldier regime he also has a tattoo of his two deceased brothers on his right arm and dedicates all his kills in battle to them....jus a few tips number one mostly all lambent locust explode so make sure u steer clear when killing dem, number 2 take ur time when aiming ur sniper u get better shots dat way, number 3 always remember to take ur time and look for amo plus cog tags dat may be laying around otherwise ur doin great keep it up

I love Gears 3, my favourite Gears game, that's for sure! Are you planning on playing the RAAM's Shadow DLC campaign for Gears 3 after the normal campaign? Are you also going to play Gears of War Judgement after Gears 3? You've already sort of met Jace before this point, he talks to you over the radio during Act 2 in Gears of War 2. He leads the team "Alpha 7" during the Hollow Storm, his team's grindlifts land almost instantly after Marcus and Dom's. He doesn't have the same voice actor though. Before you meet Jace at the start of Gears 3 you can go into Baird's quarters and see what remains of Jack. When using the Hammerburst you can zoom in and use the iron sights by pressing down the right analogue stick, I love the Hammerburst in Gears 3 it's my favourite version of it and always preferred it over the Lancer. It's a single fire weapon too so you can shoot it as fast as you can pull the trigger, holding down the trigger makes it fire relatively slowly. The turrets in the Silverbacks work like the Troikas and turrets in Gears 2, you can hold the reload button to cool it down. You do reload a little too often lol, it is best way to just wait and active reload while you're in the firefight for the extra damage bonuses as well as the other bonuses. Instead of reloading after a firefight and losing those potential bonuses, but it's okay lol. The game did mention it but you can swap weapons with the other characters by holding the aim button when stood next to them, you get the choice to swap with their primary or secondary weapon. If you have the same weapon as them they give you the gun with all the ammo and they'll just run around with the gun they have left. If I remember the AI will pick up a another weapon if they just have the one gun. Carmine's a good character to have around he runs around with the Torque Bow and it pretty effective with it. It's quite a fun feature to mess around with, giving the AI power weapons to mess around with, they can be really effective.
