Technically, The "GREATEST HERO" of Albion, Lore wise, would be Scythe the Necromancer BEFORE he was Scythe the Necromancer. Y'see, it's never stated outright, but in Fable (the lost chapters, anniversary, Flavor Text in 2 and 3) its implied that Scythe is the Heroic Remains of the Hero of Oakvale and Theresa's Ancestor, who slew the King and Queen of blades, but was corrupted by the sword of Aeons, turning him into Scythe, a mere Echo of what he once was. (It's also implied that Scythe is STILL out there, in the later games.) But yeah, Fairly certain his name wasn't Humphrey. However... Humphrey DOES look a bit familiar. We have no idea WHERE in the timeline it's set, but that's CLEARLY Castle Fairfax, so Bowerstone Exists... Meaning this COULD be a Prequel, and Humphrey COULD be, seeing as he seems to fill that role, Destined to grow old, and telepathically Tell us "Hero, Your Health is low. Do you have any food, or potions?"... I can't recall, but did the Guildmaster ever have a listed Name? And that "girl who made the wrong choices" that "wants to make it all right" with that staff that's growing vines, was wearing a VERY familiar SCARLET ROBE. Could it be A certain Heroes Mother?(by the same name?) Oh, the THEORIES!

Fable is my favourite game. I loved the first two in particular, and I really don’t see how someone who really loved this series can be happy with a reboot. It is like if your dog passed away after 15 years and someone bought you another dog, giving it the same name and pretending with everyone your dog never died. This game is not Fable. It is a new game slightly inspired by the former. The name of the franchise was used for convenience.

@@InfamousReptillian420 we know they didn't doesn't mean it wouldn't work honestly character creation would suit fable perfectly because the characters are don't really have their own personality and behave the way the player wants them to. The only protagonist that somewhat had their own personality and heavy backstory was the fable 3 protagonist because they added voiced, but even still you could choose between 2 characters male and female. But for the most part you can roleplay them however you want so might as well give us full customisation

@@IonicSarge lol, knowing that you should do something right doesn’t make it easy to do. “Make a good game with branching paths” is not a formula. Thats like saying “make a lot of money is the formula to becoming wealthy.” It describes the processs but doesn’t tell you how to get there. They still need to code it, make all the extensive art assetts, come up with a story and make the story work with player choices…

What is with all modern game and movie trailers where everything has to be some silly joke where someone sarcastically and bored-ly describes what's supposed to be an amazing, wonderful fantastic adventure? It's like we asked them about their job and they're describing how they stand at a register ringing up customers all day and they hate their life. It'd be like watching Lord of the Rings but Frodo decides to stay home because he hates adventure, and then we just watch 12 hours of him sleeping, occasionally waking up to tell Gandalf to go away.

I wrote it to the first trailer. Nothing changes, I will write it again. You know, when someone try to continue the story that had the unique vibe, this story becomes to look like a plasticine. The original Fable series were the Molyneux's author project. It has a very thin grace of the deep European culture. The European culture in whole, not only the British. When I was a kid I thought that the Fable is the French game and Molyneux is French himself, maybe because of his French-like surname, but more likely because of the unique European atmosphere, when the fairytale encounters the reality in all of its irrationality and the unpredictability. It speaks through all of the parts of the original games: through thombs and gardens, bright fields of the Oakfield and the scariness of the dark locations. Through the noble music in the Fairfax castle and through the flute of the Bower lake. Behind the original Fable series hide the fundamentals of European culture: Middle Ages, Renaissance, Ghotic, Baroque, noble families and the simple farmers, Shakespeare, Chopin, Debussy, Rimbaud and the other European masters. But first of all the charm of the original series is in its special ironic humor: the Fable ironic humor is strongly connected with the people's tragedies, it's very tragicomical. Even if you are a mighty hero, the life can be tricky on you and you will never know where the next step will lead you. Today you are nothing and tomorrow you are all. Or today you are all and tomorrow you are just kicking chickens. And in the trailer of a new Fable game I don't see any of it. I just see the... modern stand-up in the British style. It's rather funny, but it's not the Fable, it's just some fashion jokes put in the fairytale setting. Some things better leave by their authors. Because you will never can repeat it, you are a different person after all, with the different perception. You can only imitate. P.S. The second trailer gave me some notes of nostalgia in the scenes of the old town and fighting the troll. But just for a second. Too much influence of the fantasy hits from the past years, including the Witcher and Baldur's Gate.

I'm not even upset about the obvious thing. I'm just dissapointed that I don't see any hope of what I personally liked about Fable. I loved the mix matching of powers, the economy thing was so sick, having a cheating scandal with my wife finding me with my other wife. @VeeTHis i can tell you dont understand how making a game works. If they put all the time and resources into visuals like that. Youre going to see it lack elsewhere. Whether its less armor options, customization options, choices in the story. Or if they gameplay is going to feel generic. I could be wrong obviously but i heavily doubt it will be a great game. Fable 1 and 2 were goated and not for visuals.
