You two are clearly lovers of the blues. It is the basis of all modern music, thus the root music and it truly does draw you into its beauty. Great blues guitarists are, for my money, the most heart felt musicians of the last 60 years or so. A tremendous amount of what they have recorded still sounds contemporary and excellent today. All timeless music is that way. The blues will never go out of fashion. 🎸🎸🎸💖💖💖

I was a huge rocker growing up; I guess I still am. But the older I get, the more I'm drawn to the blues. And so many great blues guitarists now. I think they know Joe Bonamassa but they should definitely check out Samantha Fish, Walter Trout, and Eric Gales just to name a few.

I saw Gary perform this live at the Barrowlands in Glasgow, back in probably 1997 or 1998. I was stood about 6ft from a Marshall stack and I don't think the hearing in my left ear has ever recovered. No regrets though. He broke his high E string while he was playing and just got on with the show, nobody knew any different. Such a professional. He was a great guitarist who really knew how to put a Les Paul through its paces. He had so much to say, and chose to say it though his guitars. Gone too soon. Another great reaction guys. Much love.

You got more than your money's worth. It still is one of my favorite concerts and nobody can take it away from me. I saw a master at work. Okay with a few thousand other people where there too. When he passed i am not ashamed to say i shed a tear and that whole day was (not a nice word) He talked through his strings even though he had an excellent singing voice. thanks for the memory and enjoy.

Growing up my guitar hero's were from bands I loved, like Lifeson, Gilmour, Van Halen and Page. When I took up playing guitar around 10 yrs ago, my go to for guitar ideas and instruction moved to Knopfler, Moore and Marino. Gary Moore heads my list of the cream of the crop, followed by Frank Marino. Check "Its Begun to Rain" by Frank Marino, up there with some of the greatest solos I've ever heard.

Another great performance by the amazing Gary Moore - one of my favourite guitarists so it's good to see you reacting to him again. Give yourselves a treat and react to this performance of Separate Ways, live 1992, with extended intro. The vocals start about 7 minutes in and before that your see and hear some of the best guitar playing ever performed, with Gary showing both the incredibly subtle touch he has, building up to the fire that is always bubbling away, waiting to explode. He was one of the great masters of the instrument and very few can control a cranked-up electric guitar on stage, with the gain ready to punch holes in the venue walls, in the way Gary Moore could. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4icmXZ_nr9gnacsi=EiRH_jrWzO9nDQ1z

This song was originally written as an instrumental, Gary brought it to Phill Lynett... Who went away and wrote the lyrics.... The opening line "I remember Paris in '49"... Phil was born in 1949, his father was called Paris :).... The pause was because Gary held the record for the longest guitar note for that particular note in the song... So he teased and paused to get a response.... Oh, and the bassist is Cass from the band Skunk Anansie.
