By far my favorite game ever. Mostly due to the fond memories of playing this with my Mom and Dad after school growing up.

It's a damn shame no one never continued this series in this style but with completely new levels. Legends/Dark Legacy were easily the best games in the whole series. That stark shift in direction, tone and eventually pre-order/DLC culture really killed the series. It'd be awesome to have them go back to these kinds of Gauntlet games.

Every now and then I'll come back to this soundtrack to remember the good old days of simply being children and not having anything to worry about, and those good old friends who aren't around anymore. Great times.

Played this at my friends’ houses growing up but never owned a 64 myself. Just found it at one of my local shops and my roommate has a 64 so I bought it and have have been grinding levels after work. Such a blast!

For some reason, hearing the arcade music remade through the N64s sound hardware actually improves it in my opinion. What may have been a hardware limitation ultimately gave these songs a more epic and serious tone.

Castle Armory might take the cake here for the best track. Courtyard is close...Spire is close...Chimera is close but really that is just a remix of Courtyard. Then all of the Battle tracks kick ass. man what a soundtrack.

Jesus, Castle Courtyard SUCH enchanting melodies!!!! I also very much enjoy the epic Mountain Valley!
