In the Disney canon comics, they took Boba’s signature ruthlessness a step too far, particularly when Vader tasked him with finding Luke on Tatooine. This version of Boba Fett went out of his way to kill innocent people whether they knew anything or not. I get that it was a new continuity, but since Clone Wars was still integral, this felt like a random and unsatisfactory regression that made him less interesting. I’m glad the Mandalorian not only brought back his personal sense of honor and justice, but also restored his mandalorian heritage. Boba Fett is a ruthless Bounty Hunter, but he shouldn’t have been made that ruthless, especially when it was unnecessary.

When Boba was young it was easy for him to have a sense of righteousness, things were very black and white. To him the Jedi were of course monsters, no doubt Jango told him what the jedi did to his people and the battle of galidran would have given the young fett nightmares so he already knew what those evil wizards were capable of and then he sees one take away his father. The Jedi were already monsters to him and now they had made it even more personal, this arc did a good job in bridging the gap in a satisfying canon way. It wouldn't be the last time we saw fett in the clone wars and it wouldn't be enough (those cancelled stuff still hurts) but it gave us a solid idea of his journey. Come Empire time the jedi are gone and Boba's rage/drive has made him a legend but left him lost, he's without a cause and his allegiance is something afforded to those who can meet his price. It's not until we see him return in the mandalorian that he has seemingly reclaimed much of his younger sense of righteousness which is what makes it so much harder to wait for Book of Boba Fett, especially when they won't give us a bloody trailer. Clone Wars did well in fleshing out Boba's journey from mando apprentice to mando bounty hunter and as you said it was great Daniel Logan got to play boba once again

I really like the "parents" Boba has had and learned from so far. From his real father Jango Fett who he aspires to be, to Ora and Bossk who both are very deadly in their own right. I hope they will do more with Bossk and Boba in movies and other series, they are a great bounty hunter duo.

If only we got to see his full growth in the last story arcs of The Clone Wars, but sadly we those arcs never got to be made, so we missed some awesome and honorable Boba Fett stuff. From his more minor role of helping Ventress save Vos by fighting Dooku with his crew, that is probably partially fueled by the money Ventress was paying him, but still helping someone who previously betrayed him and by extension helping a Jedi shows more dimensions to him. And that's not even getting into his arc where he and his honorable Bounty Hunters take on Cad Bane and his dishonorable Bounter Hunters, winning out and proving that their methods are both better and morally superior. Ii hope we get to see him in The Bad Batch in season 2, especially since it looks like with that metal plat Cad is wearing it seems the arc with him did happen and that is the mark Boba left him.

Ngl this was one of my favorite arcs for two reasons. One, we got to see Plo Koon and he's a freaking goat of a Jedi, and two, it was really cool seeing Boba in this light. When we meet Boba he's this confident, ruthless and pretty intimidating presence, so it was cool to actually see the gradual progression from this lost and and confused boy into the ruthless and cunning bounty hunter he would become.

I really think this just showed that boba still had a moral compass. He was apprehensive about killing anyone who wasn't windu, and told the admiral this wasn't what he wanted. He even told windu he has seen that he did terrible things. He wasn't a ruthless murderer like bounty hunters such as aura sing and cad bane. We see this a little bit in the incomplete clone wars episode where he turns his blaster on cad bane for involving innocents.

Watching this arc back when it aired on tv was mind blowing as a kid, watching a young boba fett doing almost anything to kill Windu, like who would've seen a young Boba destroying an entire star destroyer, and killing many unwarranted clones and personal just for one man, that's pretty crazy for a animated SW show back in 2010 (i think thats when the episode was aired).

Until I saw this arc I always thought Boba Fett was kind of overrated. He literally only has like 5 minutes of screen time between the two OT movies he was in and he got knocked into a Sarlacc by a blind man. This arc reminded me that he pretty much had to survive alone as a kid in a wartorn galaxy and that alone is impressive enough. He was awesome in The Mandalorian and I look forward to more of his awesomeness in The Book of Boba Fett.

Ik it will probably never happen but bad batch proved that other clone wars spin off shows are possible. I can think of no better story than the rise of Bobba fett 2-3 years after the clone wars. The main theme will be Bobba building up his reputation competing with more seasoned hunters like Cad Bane adventuring around the galaxy we see how things look post war from another persecutive and a subplot dealing with more personal and emotional ideas such as Bobba truly coming into his own gaining his own individuality now that he is older and looking more like his father he has tor grapple with what truly makes special and him the milllions of clone trooper that share his fathers face. Of course flash backs during those segments of Bobba’s early life where we get to see the real deal Jango fett in clone wars style. Sadly this will never happen Disney and Lucas film brought back one the most famous characters in starwars ending half a century of fan discussion and speculation and do next to nothing with him. This is one of the reasons I’m a bit salty with the success with the mandaloran the story of Din Jaryn should really be Bobba’s .traveling across the galaxy gaining a wider understanding of owns place in the universe with the empire now gone and what it truly means to be mandalorian. That has always been Bobbas character flaw he may wear his fathers armor and live up to his personal code but he is a merc ignorant of the culture and the ways of the mandalore the ways of his father. Lack of understanding will be a void in the soul of Bobba fett that he will never be able to fill as a glorified bounty hunter. Only when he takes up the creed speaks the tenants of the resol'nare will his character be complete.

In my opinion, I don't like how the disney canon treated silly because they never made him irrelevant to the story and humiliate him enough times, they never make him look like the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, everyone in the galaxy makes fun of He, they even underestimate him, they are not even interested in it so much so that his series is the least expected by the fans being surpassed by the mandalorian season 3 and ashoka

Mostly due to how badass he looked... well put. Although some of us really deep analytic and probably rooted in some form of psychology and philosophy (such as myself) were able to reverse engineer most of Boba's personal character (especially when paired with external lore) this fact is often understated to a huge degree. Frankly Boba was cool and intimidating in the original trilogy, but when push came to shove he was honestly quite pathetic. By playing virtually all the games in which he appears it is clear that he was reverse engineered by and large based around his popularity. In many ways we made him, and this is a huge part of why he has become such a worthy character to date. :)

Jango fett had no concern for the clones while boba had a degree of concern for them.

Hated Boba for this. Those were his of his blood he killed callously. Clones, family, or not, you just dont do that. Really hated him as a character afterwards bruh. Even bounty hunters got standards. Blackwater doesnt turn their back on their country and neither does Wagner.

He’s just a kid, of course he disassociates with clones when his Father raised him as a normal kid. Boba needs a father figure to set him on the right path but he has Ora sing who manipulated his grief.

Hot opinion: I didn’t like any arc that focused on Boba because I myself find Boba and Jango to be very boring and overrated, thats just me though. I guess for a basic person he’s cool but like, he’s still dull to me.
