A thought occurred to me: when I was watching the episode the first time I kept on wondering why Ashoka didn’t just use the force to get the lightsaber once she found her thief. Now the answer is clear, Ashoka is a Padawan who just got her lightsaber stolen and a lot of thoughts were going through her head. And since using the force requires you to concentrate and clear your mind, it’s not happening since Ashoka is rushing into things without thinking.

Who's here to pay his respects to Tera Sinube? Arguably one of the best Jedi in the series. He not only had one of the best personalities out there (being a pretty cunning Goofball that worked as a good standin for the original Yoda portrayal) but also gave some of the most important lessons on how to be a Jedi as would be shown by Asoka. However i feel the most notable thing to remember about him was what he was studying: The Coruscant Underworld. Virtually nobody, either in the Senate OR the Jedi Order cared for what was down there, including the people but i very much feel the sympathy he has in his interactions. He isnt above violating the Jedi code i feel guessing from his behaviour to fit his surroundings. But oh well, who knows right? Maybe were lucky and we'll see him in the Bad Batch again when their down in Coruscant's Underworld for whatever reason...i really hope he survived Order 66...dunno if he did but if a comic said: No-No i still hope that Bad Batch redcons that and so maybe he can even teach the team a few lessons! anyway, great to see this awesome episode covered. certainly one of my favourites and it was very sweet to have it be taken apart hehe.

Tera Sinube's wisdom on not rushing into things is something that really hits hard for me and probably others. While I have gained more patience and experience in my almost 23 years of life, I still struggle with rushing things and doing too many things at once. It has really become a problem this semester, as I have tried too much to meet new people at college and thinking too much on how to get homework done fast. It ultimately led to my head blowing a fuse and this whole week I have been mentally exhausted. Both of these things I tried rushing because of fear. Fear of being physically alone and fear of not getting to take classes next semester. I should've tried to pace myself better on both things, but I learned that too late. I suppose that even though I have learned a lot, there are still things I have yet to learn. Oh well, learning is one of the many interesting things about life.

I saw someone in the KZbin D&D scene talking about having (in the past) created a vampire character who was cursed with vampirism, which meant they can’t be anywhere near symbols of Christianity/Christian Faith, but he realized that a great way to give that original character meaning would be to make the vampire a devout Christian/Catholic (can’t remember if the vampire was specifically Catholic or not). The character deeply wanted to connect with their faith, but was violently physically repelled from their faith by the curse. I’m not a very religious man, in the traditional sense, but even I don’t know how I’d feel if I was cursed to be repulsed by the very things that help give me strength.

Actually, I think there's a direct effect from this episode in a later episode where Anakin keeps trying to chase after that bounty hunter (the one with the hat, can't remember his name right now), making things steadily worse and even having to give up his lightsaber to save Ahsoka (which is a strange mirror to Ahsoka losing her own lightsaber in Lightsaber Lost). Eventually Ahsoka snaps and tells Anakin to be patient and to think things through and not keep chasing after the bounty hunter. I never thought about it but that scene shows how Ahsoka learned to overcome her recklessness and impulsiveness to the point that she had to curb Anakin's own impulsiveness.

So Ahsoka was meant to be annoying at first, and it was all a part of the plan to get us to love her, that’s absolutely brilliant! Props to Dave Filoni and the others for that ingenious way to bypass the fans aversion to change and getting us to love an amazing and well developed character. Brilliant work absolutely brilliant 👏👏👏👏

During the Mandalorian seasons we see Ahsoka. The channel then questioned where Ahsoka gotten the knowledge to create white light sabers from, because to create it, one must purify a red kyber crystal. Could she have gotten the knowledge from Tera Sinube? We see him wielding a white saber in this episode and we see him briefly wielding it again when Anakin fought Barriss Offee during the Trail of Ahsoka.

Ahsoka probably has the greatest character arc in cinematic history. No joke

It's true I do agree that Ahsoka actually matured more than Anakin the character itself is very well with written a great example of a female character in where it didn't matter that she was a female just a person learning & becoming mature & growing her show will be fantastic & a fan favorite I can't wait Ahsoka is a hero a person to be looked up to & someone u can look to in times of trouble.

Excellent. You know, I feel like Papa Palpatine was writing her character - because the writers absolutely hoodwinked all of us with her. God damn I hated her at first. I didn't want to even watch her scenes. I'd skip past them because everything that came out of her mouth annoyed me. But, through the seasons, she grows on you. And then you get to season seven, and she's just on a whole other level. Her fight with Maul seems to me like the culmination of everything she's been through and learned, and you can see that in both the animation and the dialogue. I think the tipping point for me was that one mission she gets a pile of clone pilots killed because she wants to push the mission no matter what. She actually shows some real depth there and I think I got to that one and finally started to wonder whether me hating her still was justified. If you think about it, she wasn't chosen the way most padawans are by a master. She was assigned. If I was that age again, that would probably throw me off balance, make me feel like I had to be told who to be trained by, because nobody wanted to choose me. Then she finds out she's assigned to the golden boy, the most well-known Jedi at the time, and is expected to be his padawan. So she, as I would, feels like she has to keep up, prove that she can do whatever everyone else can do, but better, because Anakin (at this point) is better. You're not a worthy padawan, then it's off to go farm wheat for you. That puts a certain fire under your ass to prove yourself. That's where the cockiness comes from, that's where the running into fights headlong comes from, that's what racing recklessly to the mission goal comes from. When I realized all that, and saw she was shaking that off, I started to enjoy her episodes a lot. She's become one of my favorite characters of the franchise, because of the complete arc the writers took her through. (Along with some incredible voice acting, I might add) Here's hoping she doesn't get cheapened out in the future.

My first introduction to the entire series was walking in on this episode where it's at the ending moral of the story where Sinube is saying "If you want to catch up, you need to slow down!" and, out of context, as a walk-in, that seemed like it was terrible writing from my perspective at the time. It took years until someone finally told me to give the whole show a genuine watch-through before I got to really experience, and eventually fully appreciate the series. Gotta say, though, this is definitely not the episode to start on XD

That is actually a lesson Anakin had to learn but never did I think it has another layer to it because it is one of the traits that will later save Ahsokas life but Anakin on the other hand always takes rushed decisions had he slowed down and thought a little about his decisions he would not has become Vader that is the reason why I always thought that Obi-Wan was not the right master for him he needed something more older and wiser like Plo-koon or even Yoda and I also have a question was Dooku still in the jedi order when Anakin was assigned to Obi-Wan because he should have been more involved since it was the last wish of his apprentice and what if rather than Obi-Wan who was a padawan at the time Dooku decided to train Anakin as Qui-Gons last wish.
