@@theblackenddev Depends on what you need it for. Emmc is not that bad. It's faster than mechanical drives which I've haf no problem using.

@@justswitched8841 true I guess it was more so the size. It’s going to force people to use external drives or microsd which just adds to the cost. The OS is likely taking at least 20% of that space so you really cant play a sizable chunk of AAA games due to size constraints without external options.

Where this thing shines and where not many people talk about with the resolution is being able to play any game at 2560x1600 max graphics via GeForce now or stadia etc. This is where the onexplayer crushes the steam deck and any other because the wifi adapter it has will handle 5ghz no problem. So being able to play any game at 2560x1600 is amazing and only the onexplayer can do that! Leaving obvious things aside mobile gaming etc gaming from home at Max resolution and max graphics on a hand held hell yeah!! That's ultimately what sold me minus the bigger screen etc. The only thing I wish it had was the 4 buttons like the steam deck has on the back but not too big a deal! For me being able to have a bigger screen and the ability to play any game installed on the onex at 30-60fps or higher at low to mid graphics settings is great! However being able to play any game that's on GeForce now or stadia without installing it on the onex at 2560x1600 playing on ultra settings is like butter it's amazing! Worth the price imo. I did pre order the antiglare model steam deck but will probably end up cancelling now that I have the one x player. It's more expensive but you ultimately get what you pay for! Steam deck is amazing the onex is just better!

if u wanna go high res streaming - then any phone or tablet plus controller will work - the battery life will be higher and also much lighter on your hands

@@C4ETech already tried that however none of them have a controller built into the screen like the onex! The onex will still get great battery life as you know it is only using battery for streaming like watching KZbin or Netflix etc! The issue I ran into was trying to use a tablet or phone with a Bluetooth controller while laying in bed at night which is when I tend to use it most! So for me the win was having that high speed wifi6 ax adapter with controller built into the screen and still being able to get 2560x1600! I tried my ipad, surface book , duo among other things but they just could not do what the onex can do for wireless streaming games! Meaning, trying to find a decent place to set my tablet or phone while using a controller while relaxing in bed haha. Obviously this is my personal opinion but this little machine really does everything I want it to do!!

Funny how people consider the 1195g7 expensive at 1200.00usd. The last time, I checked..... A 15inch laptop with that same spec cost about the same. I dont think people understand that most of us who own the OXP arent just using it to play games. This thing is versatile beyond belief!

True. I used a GPD Pocket since 2017 and it's a real game changer. Bringing a laptop that weighs 500g instead of a 1.3kg on conventions, meetings, vacations and interviews is amazing. It's also a great conversation starter.

@ALL HANDS ON STEAM DECK problem is, if you don't live in the few pre-release countries, you won't get a steam deck until 2023 as they are reserved already until the end of 2022. So if you want a handheld gaming pc, there isn't much option. I got this as steam deck isn't coming to my country, so it doesn't matter that it's 'half the price' or whatever. I chose to get the thing that I can buy now instead of in 2 years when it's been surpassed by something better and more powerful

I love my OneXplayer S1 1195g7. Rocks and I went with the Intel because I've ordered the Steamdeck which is running the AMD which gives me the best of both worlds. My only complaint with the OneXplayer S1 is the lack of mature Intel Xe drivers.

@@opwolfgames9932 I went Intel for the egpu functionality which is not present in the AMD iteration. If you do take the leap, don't buy the external keyboard, it's a POS as is the case. I replaced both.

The specs of this are very good, but I've got to question including a display that even the high end APU here can't drive at its native resolution for a fair chunk of games. It will use more battery and drive up the build cost. The latter point - it's 3x the price of a Steam Deck - is the real killer here and will keep this a very niche product compared to the Steam Deck. BTW, you said the Steam Deck is 720p - it's actually 800p...

Great video ash! I'd been meaning to check out the one x player. I didn't realise its $800 - that's not bad then. The 64GB steam deck - you have to store everything off a micro SD card. It's fine honestly but yeah people have to compare the 512GB SSD steam deck with the 1TB variants of the one x. Also not really a tip - but people kinda get upset at anything against the steam deck, even if its like "Hey look at the Aya Neo" - people will just neg. Just saying I got it on my videos as well.

I recommend using steam big picture mode and setting up mouse joystick by default. It's pretty easy to configure, and since you can customize the sensitivity, it's much better than the built in mouse mode

From the content to the awesome post edits (that size overlay at 1:48 was sooo good), this is probably the most real life console review out there. Pointing real issues without fanboying Nintendo / Steam/ GPD is tough. This does look like a pretty solid handheld! If only I could let go my prejudices and think objectively... And it's up for sale. That's a massive pro in my books. :)

Got my onexplayer 1s connected to the razor core x will the rtx 3090 and I can play any steam game maxed the hell out with no problem. Love this device it's awesome!!

The main issue that hurts the Intel handholds is it's poor graphics drivers. I had several problems getting games to run on a Win Max with the 1165G7 processor. Since I got the Aya Neo with the 4800U, I haven't had a problem gaming despite it not being as fast as the Intel based systems. Can't wait to see if the AMD 6800U will be the next king of the hill in this market.

I had a win 3. Great device. Problem is the screen. I got sick of squinting to see what was going on all the time, and it being too small for the touch interface in windows 10. I sold it and ordered the new one Xplayer 1s. It's heavier and MUCH bigger, but for me the screen size is worth it.

@@gabegabe1 it does have the ability to use mouse mode, but I set up mouse joystick in windows via steam big picture mode. It's very customizable right down to sensitivity. I did the same on the win 3. Well worth it in my opinion. Makes it much easier to use outside of gaming

With the ability of this to be a legitimate PC on the go, a playback player at max resolution to the native screen or a tv, and the ability to have an egpu make this think blow the Steam Deck out of the water in my opinion. 3 years from now, this thing can still be a beast because you can throw an egpu on it for a few hundred dollars. The Steam Deck on the other hand is where it’s at, and no way to make it better. It might start off okay, but that thing isn’t running ANY new highly intensive games at full settings at a decent fps. The OneXPlayer, you can, with an egpu. Yeah, this one costs more, but all of the extras that come with the OneXPlayer makes that much better in my opinion. We could still be at the top of the game in 3 years. The Steam Deck won’t be. Add all of that with the look of the Steam Deck is horribly bulky, and doesn’t look comfortable at all. I realize OneX is as well, but the SD made the Wii U look like a small PSVita up next to it. WAY too big for that small and crappy resolution of a screen.

Steam Deck is not 720p it is 800p. And the 64GB Model Steam Deck is more than enough. Sure 64GB might not be that much but SD Cards are quite cheap and loading time wont be an issue since you have to turn settings down anyway.

oops my bad - the steamdeck is 800p Cant run aaa games off a sd card - makes a huge difference with loading times... with the OS taking up space - you are looking at 1 or 2 games - is it doable? yup - but wouldn't call it optimal :)

@@manojlds Well, most AAA Game are designed to run of a HDD. A 7200 RPM HDD have an Average Read Speed of 80-160MB/s. A Micro SD Card is around 100-120GB with something like a Sandisk Extreme/Pro go up to 160/170MB/s. Which is more than enough to play Games at a decent Loading Speed. Theoretically you could go up to 300MB/s if you get a V90 Card. But those are very expensive.

@@Droogie128 It all depends on the Game and the Settings and stuff like that. Older Games for example will load just as fast as from the Internal Storage. But even newer Games should load fast enough. You have to turn settings down anyway. Which reduces the Load Times by a lot. And at that Point we talk about a few Seconds of difference between the different Models and/or using a SD Card.

The SD has a better GPU and better Ram, The SD is better ergonomically and has trackpads that can simulate the mouse , add steam input to this and you have massive options. The SD looks as though it is made with a lot of care and quality controls. The SD is a third to half the price. The onexplayer s has a better CPU and better screen.

The amount of quality control issues the onexplayer has is ridiculous. Also, it's total system tdp is excessively high, which not only renders the massive battery kinda pointless, but it also stresses it to the point where its life expectancy is really shortened. Not to mention the horrible build quality and the high amount of bad or faulty units that have been shipped to customers. Not saying the deck will be better, but the onexplayer is definitely not the device to get.

For me, the neo was a no go as I use an egpu half the time and AMD just don't have the protocols for it. Not saying it's a bad device or anything, just a different choice. I would have preordered a steam deck, but it's not coming to New Zealand. I reached out to Valve and they said 'we currently have no plans to release the steam deck in your region.' leaves me with few options. Hope someone scalps one on ebay at a VERY VERY high price, wait until after all the preorders are fulfilled (likely 2023) or just get something else, even if it is more expensive.

eGPU is basically a GPU with an enclosure and power supply, so if you can snag a gpu for good price in this market, then get a egpu by all means. There are good eclosures like Razer core X and Asus ROG XG.

They made a demo model with 4800u I don't know if it will actually be released, but in most cases the gaming performance of the 1195g7 is better at default tdp (20 watt with turbo being 28 watt) that was one netbook logic anyway

The one x player actually starts around $800-899 at some retailers for the low end model (which is not really low end it performs just fine) which is a few hundred bucks higher than the high end steam deck which is just as comparable. The only difference between the lowend and high end models are just CPUs and when compared to the steam deck, I think what he meant to advertise is that you'd be fine with any version of this one x player. You don't have to buy the 1195 unreasonably priced one because they do become unreasonable for just processor speeds alone and I guess a slightly better gpu which only really change really for the I5 to i7 model not really i7-i7, lol. So yeah I see all the pricing issues, and that's fair when going to their latest model. However their i5, model is reasonably priced at around $800. It apparently performs close to the steam deck still gaming wise, and you can argue it's better for productivity. There's a reasonable argument for that I feel, but like I stressed before, I can't really defend the 1s version, because it's literally no difference than the other models besides a SLIGHTLY faster cpu. No real internal upgrades, and no crazy changes. They can also develop a magnetic dock that works as well as their key pad btw.

The steam deck pricing is very misleading IMO. Like im its lowest price which is used in all the articles it has only 64gb storage and that too emmc. To actually game properly you next the higher end models fo the steam deck

This seems like a good deal for the price. I really think that the higher resolution display makes it a tad bit better than most handhelds available today. As for Steamdeck using emmc for the 64 GB variant reminded me of a company which does things like that. 😂 _ Anyway, amazing video as usual. _ If someone asks me what's the best thing about Team C4ETECH is then I'd say that it's the amount of products that they bring to people like us. Also, ever since Ash has moved to Dubai we're able to see more variability in the type of videos. Kudos to the team for making videos which most Indian tech youtubers might never even dream of making. I'm so glad to be a part of the coveted #30Squad. Cheers!
