When judges allow people to go to work during house arrest, what if one of these people ran away instead of going to work? Would the employer be at fault?

I have extended family that have vacation homes in Florida so they go down there for like 3 months in the winter. They said "it's okay to visit for 3 months when it's cold up north but you wouldn't want to live there it's America's Dumpster and way to hot and humid". I have 1 member of my family who married a guy and moved there 13 years ago since then her step kids became hardcore drug addicts, thieves, and convicted felons. And she diagnosed with cancer after 7 of living there which luckily she survived. They believe it has to do with heat and the nearby dump . Now I hear that they can't even drink the tap water cuz it's contaminated. And they've always complained about the locals down there being rude, thoughtless, and just plain backwards. So this chick seems like the perfect representation of Florida.
