GIVE THE CLIENT WHAT THEY WANT NOT WHAT YOU WANT

Hey Commander Hall what’s going on with you? I just got done watching this video about how we have to give the clients what they want and not what we want cause at the end of day, they are all that matters. However if I am working a security detail for a hotel or motel and the client asks me to 1. Clean and mop the floors 2. Bring the bags up to the hotel guests room 3. Deliver an Amazon package up to the room And so on, then I would have to educate the client by telling them that I just can’t do any of those things because they are not included in the contract, SOP’s or post orders or company policy so if my supervisor or manager were to catch me doing any of these things then it may lead up to site removal following up to termination of the job as well as a possible civil class action lawsuit against the company and myself so it is not a risk that I would want to take.

Im all for being accommodating with the client as long as it doesnt go against these things. 1. What im being asked to do doesnt break the law or my company policy or SOP. 2. Belittle or degrade me as a armed guard with meaningless tasks such as mopping or audits for another department because the client wants to cut down on hours and ot for theyre employees and since we get paid less by the hr we get stuck with the task. 3. Doing anything thats not security related or for the safety of ppl person and property. We are not HR, we are not JANITORIAL, we are not BUTLERS or BUSBOYS. If they want that then they need to hire someone for it. 4. Creating a toxic environment by micromanaging and watching me and other security officers more than the individuals causing the problems. 5. Hiring us for security but when on site were being told to do everything except security. Ive got more but thats my top 5. I dont care how a client feels when it comes to my integrity and morals of being a security professional(secpro).

One thing i won’t do is remove an officer simply by request. I’ll only do it if it’s an egregious violation or contract violation. Otherwise, like mike Alvarez I spend allot of time explaining to clients how things work, and that we are a hands on more serious security company. We don’t do unarmed or hands off posts. We are security, we have a job. You don’t tell your mechanic how to do his

@jackspadeproductions6195 big facts buddy, and I wish these commercial "security" companies would adopt your practices because when you have allied universal, gardaworld or securitas etc. Telling you to comply to whatever the client wants, they are blurring the lines between being a helper and security. Yes I can help but as long as it falls in line with security.

Lot of these clients now days like to bark orders at you tell u to do this do that I’m like that not what our post orders say and the contract says then they wanna call our boss and tell something else different u know I’m like let us do our job please because they don’t make it no better by doing that and we got a family to go home to don’t wanna catch criminals charges nd lawsuit they gonna throw u under the buss unless we use body cam footage of what they said so there will be no misunderstanding
