The whole series was my favorite. Seeing you guys putting in all the work at the shop, which im sure its double or triple more work off camera. But then seeing you guys enjoy yourselves and kicking back some. Thank you for including and allowing us in on your roadtrip rally and shop life.

Man, my late father would have been over the moon about this Inn. He was an architect by trade, and funky building designs always hit his sweet spot. Myself, I get a strong Howard Hughes vibe from the whole property. Kinda like "short attention span meets mild schizophrenia," if you can follow my logic. As for my favorite bits, the racing segments are a given, but I was equally {ahem} gassed by all the wonderful scenery. For my money, the scenes of Mount Shasta top the list, followed closely by all the ocean views. That water's-edge motel y'all found reminded me strongly of the Edgewater Inn in Seattle. It's built on a pier over Elliot Bay, and you can fish from the balconies of each room. Oh yeah - the bait and tackle shop is right in back of the check in counter!! If you're into rock-n-roll history, the Edgewater was also the backdrop for Led Zeppelin's infamous "shark episode." Fun stuff, indeed!!!😎

I met a guy in his late 70s with a black '65 GTO at the HB Concourse two years ago. He'd just returned from a Drag n Drive from HB California to North Carolina. The Madonna Inn is my favorite hotel. My favorite part of the trip is seeing how well Big Wave did all the way up and back. Not just the racing, but the road trip that made up for the Mammoth trip.
@cliffordkinnear97058 ай бұрын
I liked the episode when you two drove the Tempest to that fishing spot. The one you found by accident. John DeLorean wanted every customer to be able to take their Pontiac anywhere in the USA. My parents used to live in Anderson, CA a small town just south of Redding CA. I miss going out to see them, they are gone now, I miss them a lot. I liked all the videos, but I liked the fishing spot discovery the most.

InTOXicaaaaaaaa! Damn that car has good lines. I'd love to see you do a series on giving it a 60s era authentic single stage paint job and bringing it back to its original glory. I don't know if you can even get acrylic laquer in Cali but it'd be pretty boss if you could.

Great trip and I like the ride, wouldn't even paint it! I left Kansas on my 20th birthday in 84 and headed for California on a 2 week 3400 mile motorcycle trip an ended up in the Sequoia national Forest. This was one of my most treasured trips and I often think of loading up the Hot Rod, The Wife and going back. Once again thank you guys for sharing. My favorite part is your positive attitudes through the whole trip, I wish I was more like you.

That roach on the dash, 😂. Madonna Inn, awesome, but Floral Fantasy 😂, that is an eyeful but very unique. I know Olivia was in Heaven... Danny... "that's nice" and I lost it at the toilet comment, "it pressure washes your butt hole" 😂😂😂. Favorite part of the trip... that's tough, and I think the whole package, the drive, scenery, fun times, dedication, the drag racing, the cars and collaboration and the wildlife was awesome to see too, thank you for sharing this. You guys deserve a fun night of relaxation and celebration after the busy week. 🍻

I hate to tell you, bit Big Wave was the star of the show 😊 And your entire journey! Yes the racing was great, well done, even better ET's & mph coming, for sure. ..congratulations!! But the routes you drove were totally amazing, both chosen by the organisers as well as the route back, both planned and spontaneous side trips, all terrific ❤ So the very best video was actually this last one, you're understanding the correct approach to travel now, especially in our beloved old ladies, fast though they may be. Winning starts at home in the workshop, to make these dreams come true. Full service. Well deserved. I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping this total experience has encouraged you to find more such similarly scenic rides we could drive and experience together. ❤❤ Postscript: May I be so bold as to suggest that, before you do your next long distance adventure you do at least 2 more upgrades 😊 1) Suspension with sufficient adjustability for both road & track 2) Either internally re-upholstered seats or bolstered memory foam overlays for the longer drives and even racing, maybe with pronounced neck support (I suspect you'd prefer to retain the period look & feel and not change the front seats). And a question if i may...have you considered matt clearcoating Big Wave to preserve the patina as is? Conclusion? Bless you and be safe, Your uncle Dave From South Africa 😊. Knock knock at the door. Dave? Dave's not here.
