I did some more digging on this law Tom Tillis made. And to be honest, this law isn't as bad as it sounded overall. Think about this: I would ask someone, for example, a friend Jordan, if he wanted to make his own music, and someone steals that music and claims as their own, would you like it or not? It's going to be a no, and always because of common sense, and that kind of scenario is playing right now, because like penguinz0, he monetizes his videos and plays copyright music. Now, he might go to jail for disrupting the flow of money, and, don't get me wrong it is still a douche move, it is for once reasonable unlike the last law from 2019-2020, and now I am unsure if the music industry is either too rich for their own good or actually trying to stabilize the flow of money to somewhere else, and from my view on seeing FNAF videos for like 5 years, no on is sponsored, because the artists will allow these videos to stay as long as their channel is not monetized. That message must be around 8 years ago because 'if someone take something you own for yourself and they claimed it as theirs, then that would be unfair' it's a yes or no question, no ifs ands or buts about it. Just need to clarify a bit more on the law, that's all, because it's literally making us asking ourselves this question, and that it makes sense for this law to be enforced, but in a way so that the flow of money could still continue. The Music Production, however, needs to manage this once and for all, because yes it will cut KZbin in half, and if they get cut in half so do them.

God, all this business just reminds of Weird Al's song "Don't Download This Song". Basically, it was a satirical song telling people that using file-sharing sites to download music was morally wrong, and that you'd become a hardened criminal by engaging in such practices. Weird Al even points out that artists need the money to buy more luxurious products. If I remember correctly, Al made the song free to download, just to really hammer that cheekiness home. Now obviously this is a different situation, but it really does put into perspective how vile and scummy the music industry has become over the years, and how easily most of these problems (I say, as though any business executive in the music industry is suffering) could be solved.

Something that has always been pretty weird to me is... They are losing out on SO much money by claiming content. Claiming an amv or a "video" thats basically just the song? Yeah, I get that. Thats basically the product. But for videos or, especially, streams... Its just SO much free advertising. I know a number of songs and some artists due to streams and videos. Its free advertising that actually works pretty well - cause it is the equivalent of saying "look at this celebrity, this is the music he listens to". That can be extremely effective advertising. Like, in this video.. if there was a song in the background and I like the song, Id try to find the name of it. The best advertisement for music is are the songs themselves.
@blef8613 жыл бұрын

Ikr. When I watch artist streamers, who can easily stream for 8+ hours on a single piece, I hear tons of music that I've never heard before, and I've found dozens of songs that I love that way. I also thinks it's really interesting to hear what other artists listen to to inspire themselves. A song can completely change a drawing. Without it, I'll be losing half the experience...

It's sentencing itself to being stuck only on dying media like radios and stuff. Idk maybe it will help small independent artists get boosted on the internet and the old corporate can go die with boomers 🤷

I hope it completely kills the music industry, I don't know how else they will learn their lesson.

Even if this insanity gets passed, which is as far as I can tell its only hopes of doing so is either A: No one actually reads it or B: No one in the room actually cares... but even if it DOES get passed, I find it incredibly hard to believe just about any Judge across the country will look at a case where someone had a radio on in the background of their stream or video and forgot about it, and then go "WELP... THIS PERSON DESERVES JAIL TIME! I SENTENCE THEE TO 6 MONTHS IN JAIL!" That is just so absolutely insane I have to believe any decent person reviewing the case would go ".. excuse me?" That's like sending someone to Guantanamo Bay for jaywalking, there is simply no justifiable way to even remotely look at that seriously. If anything I feel this is just a big, ugly stick that the DMCA can now swing around and threaten people with so they can be like "REMOVE THIS VIDEO OR I'LL HIT YOU"

Judges are spineless. It's insane. Look at SCOTUS with the Texas case. Even if Trump had no evidence to stand on, they don't even want to take up the responsibility of such a significant issue. It's fucked at every level.

He's the savior to every content creator out there and there's a 99.9% chance that, as long as you're not deaf, you've heard one of his songs before.
