Garrett, I’m going to knock out all the 13 NE high points in one fell swoop the end of July (weather permitting) in a giant clockwise circle from Ohio, starting with Mt Marcy and finishing with Spruce Knob. Great job! 33? That’s a bunch! I started my High Pointing this month. Had to cut it short due to weather and other issues, but I’ve done 7 states so far. (Ohio...where I live, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, S. Carolina and N. Carolina) Was going for Virginia and KY, but they were calling for strong storms (hail, wind, etc) and I didn’t want to be caught on Mount Rogers’ long hike in that!) Will come back for those 2 shortly and that will knock out that chunk of the U.S. Met an older gentleman at Florida’s high point that was doing his 48th!!! He only has 2 out West to do (Utah and Montana?) He said Alaska was a “snowy camping trip”. Lol. He did that when he was 40 years old. Also, they built a new monument on top of Sassafras Mountain. Looks to be opening soon. Still fenced off this weekend. Very similar to Mount Mitchell’s High Point. I have pictures if you’re interested. Take care and good luck this summer!

when you start preparing for some of the very difficult ones will you make videos on how you are preparing to climb to them as well as the videos on the highpoints them selves

Thanks for the recommendation! We are planning to do something a bit like that. We may not make a standalone video for the preparation, but instead include that sort of thing at the beginning of the highpoint video itself. Thanks for the engagement!

In Alaska, the Temperature in some area’s it can get 60 bellow zero in the Winter
