Honestly I am loving the idea of Kell being some sort of inter-dimensional trickster god and the end credits are the reveal of a montage of historical evidence of Kell appearing in the corner of every major historical event in the development of human history: invention of fire, the first agricultural practices, bronze age collapse, founding of Buddhism, divine mandate of the Chinese emperors, building of the pyramids, etc.

Theory time. In the cult classic Nickelodeon film Good Burger, the first scene is of Ed, working the cash register and saying "Welcome to Good Burger, Home of the Good Burger, Can I Take Your Order?" As the cycle begins. Our other main character, Dexter, is in a car accident (caused by Ed) and must pay the debt by getting a job, at Good Burger. Now, what if Ed caused the accident on purpose, but instead, Dexter is actually dead. You see, Ed is actually an ancient all powerful god of the old times named "Edhytoipa". He was banished to Earth by an elder god named "Shaqopempi" or "Shaq", he also appears in the movie as the famous basketball player, testing Ed and his "Good Burger". The rest of the movie that takes place is actually a personal Hell for Dexter, made by none other than Ed. Ed is shown in the movie not understanding some English, this is because he can only read and spell in the old tongue. When the rival fast food place challenges "Good Burger", it angers Ed and he sees them as a threat that must be eliminated immediately. At times, Dexter can be seen having flashbacks of Ed, this is because when looking into the eyes of Ed, you see his true form which slowly drives anyone insane. This is all evidence that shows th true nature of Ed and his true self. To top it all off, the very last scene of the film, is Ed, working the cash register, saying simply, "Welcome to Good Burger, Home of the Good Burger, Can I Take Your Order?" As the cycle begins yet again.

These guys should pitch to Paramount and DC a John Constantine and Good Burger crossover where the John shows up to investigate a primordial artifact that ends up being the Yo-yo Ed bought for Dexter. They can pitch it as being in the same light as the old Punisher meets Archie crossover.
