Yes its funny how these walking birds so many times start to think your their mom, while your a lot bigger, than their goose mom and so they start following you to guide themselves in life in general. Its so funny how these little gooses follow you everwhere and dont let you run away from them. Its like these gooses need some mom and, when they lose their actual mom. They take you as mom, because they need somebody to guide themselves in life, when they are not themselves so good at getting food.

This is so cute and brings back a lot of good memories. My grandma always found abandoned eggs near her house from the Mallard ducks who lived in the lake by her house. She’d normally find one around her yard, and since she was afraid of them being eaten by snakes she’d take them in and incubate them. The babies would follow her around the house and cry when she wasn’t around. It was so precious and I’m so thankful I got to play with them as a kid, it definitely contributed to my love for birds and taught me how to be more gentle with smaller creatures :) she always released them at some point, but she’s still their mom and they will often bring their mates and the whole flock to her yard and she’ll put out food for them. It’s always fun to see like 50 ducks fly into her yard and one of them to be comfy enough to walk ahead and lead the flock to her. Its gotten to the point where she can tell you which ducks are her ducks lol. Anyway this comment is long have a nice day Update: my grandmother just got a brand new duck! She hatched today.
