It is due to OneFC rules. They don't score on a round basis, but on the whole match. This means that Hagerty was still behind on scoring in round 2 after the knockdown. He had to score a knockdown back to get even.

Hats of to both great fighters but the rule set with small gloves minus clinch then add the fight bonus incentive to finish makes these fights really one dimensional.. The lessie vs abasolo fight was way better on this card but again respects to all fighters!

That was one of the badass rounds of all time round 2 comeback. what a war. haggerty has amazing straight kicks and maybe even better roundhouse. Good hand speed, unpredictable striking and can fight "switch" when needed. Anyway, that second round is freaking career move. Single-handedly earns this kid Hall of Fame status for that comeback.

I'm glad to see the ref. stop the match at this point when the fighter seem to has some level of damage. If it was 10-20 years ago in muay thai match like this, the ref. surely let the fight continue and the fighter may take more or serious damage that effect his carrier. Someone may think this is too soft but this is sport not killing event.

Trujillo looked poor until the elbow that destroyed Nolans face, Nolan was done from that point onwards. Trujillo grabbing Nolans face when the ref was breaking them up was very bad sportsmanship.

He already retired in 2014 because he personally felt he was washed. He only had that winning streak in ONE because most of the guys there were mid and overrated by ONE's social media. Who's the best name he beat at ONE? Washed up Rodlek? Saemapetch who was 0.500 in Thailand? Ramazanov whose record is also half wins half losses? I don't want to take away from Nong-O, his stadium record in his prime makes him a legend of the sport, but he's washed currently. Doesn't have the chin to win fights anymore.

Gabriel, no need to wonder. With MMA gloves you ABSOLUTELY want to cover with open hands, not fists. It hurts when you're knuckles are impacted against your skull. You can even see Haggerty trying to adjust to open hand cover while being barraged with punches. They only ever cover with fists because of habit from fighting with boxing gloves most of the time. If you're going to fight with MMA gloves, I STRONGLY suggest working on making this adjustment.
