I wouldn’t say he wasn’t born without talent. He was just gifted with it.

I mean that's fair enough, but boy howdy does it not sound as dramatic.

I think he is the most talented brother. His jumping ability is too OP that's called talent , having height and big arms and legs is not talent.

He has talent, but not the physical requirements for the field he chooses. So he has to compensate with whatever he can muster

hinata indeed wasn't born with height but he did have insane athletic ability and amazing intuition which is talent in it's self hinata truly starts to become a monster as you said when starts master the basics of the game which is due to mental shift which allowed him to express his talents in more ways other then simply trying to jump high for the ball, if he didn't have these things he then would be what we call "talentless" well that's my opinion at least

I don't really think his athletic ability or intuition is anything special. I've seen plenty of guys like Hinata. They are essentially the second most prominent types of athletes. At this point I think it's more so were walking a line between talent and "baseline". Is having the ability to walk or see talent? Or is it a disadvantage not to have those things? Though I do acknowledge your point. It's just personally I would put Hinata more on the side of the team with the regular lads. Then on Kageyama and Nishinoya's turf.

a 50 inch vertical is a talent lol Obviously other people already have that insane athletic ability but its not common. Either you’re born with it or you train extra hard to get it.

I think it's dangerous to say anyone is born with talent. people may be born with certain physical or mental attributes that may help, but I'd say that's as far as it goes. the main reason for Hinata being so trash at the start of the show was, as is later illustrated, he came from the concrete, where he had no one to help him improve with the sport, while also coming relatively late to the game. also, I've seen ppl say he did have talent, like his jumping ability or stamina, but I believe that's more due to the fact that he had been an athlete long before he was a volleyball player. maybe you agree with all this, maybe you don't, but this is my take. the world is unfair, yet fair

You seem to be leaning much more towards the Einstein thought line of "Teach a fish to climb." That people have pros and cons; but they balance out. Since this type of comment has been made a lot. I suppose, since this one is the best articulated, I should probably go more into the more prevailing theory on sports talent. Most pro sports players, for there individual sport, are born about the same time range as each other. Meaning, most pro's are born in a certain month. The reason for this is simply that they are more physically developed when they start there sport. That leads to better opportunities and coaching, and also a better mental image of themselves while playing. In the realm of just being a pro, luck is far more prevalent then talent. However, in the realm of being the best at a particular sport, talent is needed in order to do it (simply because you'll be up against other people with talent).

nah he wasn’t born without talent, he just needed to nurture his talents so he could get better

That is a strange way to use the term talents; but viben with the sentiment.

One thing Hinata lacked going into high school was the background the other "geniuses" had in Haikyuu. Kageyama, the Miya Twins, and Ushijima grew up playing volleyball while Hinata was more self-taught in middle school. He for sure lacked a lot of characteristics that make a grew volleyball player up until season 4.
