I know so many people dislike her, but Lae'zel has honestly been such a fun character to interact with. You just never know what she's going to say, and I don't think you expect her to be quite the horn dog that she is.

@@Venslor I like her too. She is really proud, too proud even, but when you manage to crack some of that hard shell you can clearly see she's extremely afraid of failure and quite insecure. The gith indoctrination also doesn't help, being nice is not exactly part of their teachings.

Im still REALLY curious how a kissing scene with a dragonborn is gonna work. Edit: Also Damn I knew Laezel wanted to rid a dragon but I didint think she was this thirsty in a litteral sense for it.

I think in the current kissing scenes they cut away before the character's lips touch, or frame the camera in a way that you can't really see it fully. So I imagine they'll just keep going with that.

some change reactions and animations a lot, some let you bypass checks or open up new checks instead that lead to new interractions.

thats kind of how it was in original sin 2. there was still some reactivity to it even in the last act but not as much as the first

I guess it depends on what kind of situations you end up in during later acts. Not every race will have some unique perspective on everything that happens after all. I imagine in the city itself there'll still be a lot of reactivity for races like Drow and Duergar just because of how uncommon and reviled they are.

Larian blessed us with the Gnome race for Patch 8 out of nowhere. I still want to believe in Dragonborn & Half-orc early access release too. Guess what... we are only missing 2 class & 2 race. If Larian is aiming for a 2023 (probably Q3 or Q4) release it would make sense to do at least 2 more major update. Anyway, thanks for the video :)

It'd be awesome, but I feel like they gave us Gnomes because Swen said they were playable at GDC. Also, they've kinda been in a playable state since early access launched while we haven't seen too much for the other races yet.

@@ccgod Ya, I'm always just concerned that it might be put on the chopping block. I've seen some people who were talking about Larian recanting what they said and stating that they weren't going to add everything from the PHB. Hearing about this audio still being in the game, as well as Larian's attention to more exotic races in Divinity Oroginal Sins 2, just gives me some assurance.

@@davidhanna6282 oh I haven't heard about them cutting back at all. A massive amount of the game is behind closed doors the alpha is a very small portion of the game. Adding a race shouldn't be that hard as it'll most likely be a reskin of another race.

There's a "Rare" metatag that Dragonborn, Tieflings, Half-drow etc. fall under that provides generic "oh weird to see one of you lot about" responses from some NPCs. It used to cause this weird issue where Mattis (scam trader kid in the grove) would say "Whoa never seen someone like you before" to a tiefling, despite him also being a tiefling.

@@Chubblot Monk is bound to be interesting, very, very difficult to balance though in a game like this, given that they can't wear armor of any form at any point in the game. Most classes can generally keep raising their AC by taking feats, I believe Monk will still be limited to none, Barbarian can't wear Heavy Armor per the description of the class for Rage, I haven't actually tested it though. Items for WIS and DEX can become pretty problematic if implemented, could end up like WOTR where the optimal builds were basically naked b/c of insane AC values possible.

I haven't checked but it's possible that a draconic sorcerer also gets a line there? I think part of it is that the convo then leads into her acknowledging you have dragon blood, which evidently turns her on.

Heya, it's a bit involved and tbh I'm a little wary of making guides etc. because there's every chance Larian will remove the exploits I'm using if I tell everyone where they are.

Going by the patch 8 files they haven't finished modelling dragonborn yet. Also, they're intentionally restricting what is released into ea so there's more content on release. Gnomes have been playable since ea launched but they only added them to the game in patch 8.

They didnt remove them, because they were not implemented yet, they're still working on those

like mik said, they weren't removed. The tags were removed, which broke the logic used to trigger their reactivity, but it's still there. Dragonborn and HalfOrc have not been released to players yet although it's likely Larian have at least prototype versions of both.
