Inspiring and a great way to maintain your heritage. I am in the U.S. but I will begin doing likewise, Appalachian Trail perhaps. If nothing else, it would be good exercise, opportunity to reconnect and sharpen skills.

Great story and great pictures! It isn't strange to like to feel discomfort. I like to take really, really, REALLY cold showers because it makes me feel alive. I think that being too comfortable damages us, and makes us all feel depressed, to be honest. I also like to walk as much as possible, because it makes me appreciate my car that much more.

i think i recognize one of your participants from our trip with hurtig ruten? he looks just like the guy on our ship and he could also tell stories in a quite capturing way. hello there if you read this, you made our trip to the north cap and back two years ago to an amazing experience and we really got into the history of polar exploring through your wonderful impression of fridtjof nansen, we went back to see the fram museum in oslo and were totally taken. my husband even took up training for becoming a polar explorer himself! i just wanna let you know that you made a huge impact and say thank you for that!
