I think the other things that bothers me about it is such comments imply assumptions about healing from traumatic events and that if you behave a certain way you haven't healed properly in their eyes. I'm glad Hannah was able to turn that remark around so deftly, because for me that remark is unbelievably triggering.

We had gone to an event and a "wonderful"@ guy recommend the products my parents were supposed to " sell". Now... I feel that he new they were NOT the seller type and he pressured them a LOT. I was not having it and even was VERY rude to him but in the end my family was persuaded. Years have passed... I work as an agronomist/ florist so I sell products myself. .. BUT the difference is that I sell to people that actually have a need for my products to use and enjoy, not to resell for money. I despise these companies. They really can spot the vurnable targets and use them.....

I’ve worked with multiple MLMs and for me it turned out pretty harmless. I consider my time with them to be “fun hobbies that paid a little”. But even as someone who wasn’t really harmed by MLMs I am still binging and loving your content. Because as someone who was on the inside of an MLM and saw it crash and burn (Beautycounter) I relate to so much of the bad stuff you talk about. I wasn’t a typical “Horror Story” victim or participant, but I know enough about the industry to see the truth in everything you say. Keep up your good work. It is important.

14:15 - My grandma has lost thousands upon thousands of dollars through MLMs and I feel that exactly same way you do here. These people are so quick to say “Oh well she’s just jealous” or “well she’s just a failure because she didn’t work hard enough” when they are faced with the realities of how awful this business has been for some people. I will never forgive MLMs for the brainwashing my grandma is (tragically still) going through. I’ve had to personally call her old up line three separate times to get them to leave my grandma alone. So no, I don’t feel bad for generalizing that all MLMs suck and reps involved in them are scammers.
