On the prepaid card thing: most employers, especially of minimum wage jobs, offer this. I was offered one when I worked for Hobby Lobby. The main pro of getting one of these cards is that you do not have to have a bank account to have one. Licensed cosmetologist here: Lady #1 doesn't know what she's talking about (Shocker!). Absolutely zero manufacturers can "require" you to sell their product. You rent a chair in a salon, you pay the owners of the building to conduct business there. What products you use are entirely up to you, HOWEVER, of course higher grade product is what's generally reached for. Many of the top quality hair product brands will not sell to the average consumer, but will sell to hair stylists. who can then sell to clients as necessary. It has to do with knowing what the product does and how it's intended to be used. These products are tested, regulated, and deemed safe for use. This is also why you don't see hair stylists using regular scissors to cut hair, or off-the-shelf coloring/styling tools: When you go to a salon, you want a quality that you can't achieve at home. EDIT: It's the difference between painting as a hobby and painting as a career, really. When your business relies completely on repeat customers, you want to give them every reason possible to come back. Not because they NEED it, but because it gives them something they can't give themselves. That is the foundation of every legitimate business: Restaurants give you food you can't give yourself, gyms give you motivation you can't give yourself, etc.

I was like what the h*ll is that? she explained. I said yes I am always talking some sort of vitamins in rotation, be it fish oil, magnesium, D3 when I haven't seen the sun in a while, some hair/nail pills and collagen powders. oh and friendly bacteria for gut. so I feel like I'm pretty covered when it comes to supplements. I also eat a lot of veggies and salads in a week 😅. SHE SAID oh yea my bf is also taking these chemical made vitamins, but these ones are naturally made vitamins. 😅 I laughed and said yeah maybe they're formulated differently and that's why they don't work for me. she never ever tried to sell me anything because she knows I love google and I'm not exactly easily fooled. I am also very calculated when it comes to spending money. so she didn't push it. I thought it was weird to say the least. I went over to the doterra website that evening to find those pills. they were like £70 😮 I was like uhm I think I'll pass and just eat more spinach and rockets. I only found out that doterra is an MLM about 4 months after that conversation. needless to say a lot of her weird behaviour and new way of speaking now makes a LOT of sense. and especially her wall of oils.

The entire time I was thinking this woman seems deeply unhappy inside, and NOT actually “happy with her life”. Telling yourself and others you are happy doesn’t make it come true. Soooo many women only realized how miserable they were once they got out. If you look at Jessica Hickson, her videos from a couple years ago when she was with itworks (she was at the top making money) she looks like a completely different person than she is now. Even when she was pretending to be happy you can see how exhausted and sad she was under it. I used to work at a salon/retailer and we carried a ton of brands because that's what our customers wanted and/or new up and coming brands/products were trending and they would be worthwhile to sell. Sure, reps come in and talk up their lines and products but in no way would they ever force us to sell them. Just. LOL. And...what you said about salon brands being "threatened" by Monat! I just did some very light Googling about the whole prepaid gift card thing, and I think it would be worth doing a deep dive video into it. It's actually fascinating. Here are a few ideas I saw that need more research to confirm. It's cheaper for the company to pay using these cards. They can be issued to anyone, no matter if they have a bank account or their citizenship status. These types of cards have more restrictions and associated fees for using them, and often the fees go back to the issuer (the MLM) -- think the shady credit cards the Kardashians came out with a long time ago. Anyway, I think there might be something there worth exploring. Great video as always!

32:43 my guess about the Mo Money Card is to disconnect the income from the outflow. You see money coming in,but you have the purchase of your products and points going out of your debit or credit card, which equals less of a psychological impact and makes it harder to see you are losing money.

First clip, she implied that anti-mlm people were the ones piling on the personal attacks but she didn't outright say it so I'm doubtful that any of that happened as described. And I'm under no obligation to support someone just because they too are female. Imagine the worst examples of women now and in history. Are we supposed to support them because they were/are women? There's a woman last name Maxwell I'm not about to support (recent headlines).

Hi! Ok so I worked at Bank of America's call center for a long time. Every single debit and credit card you use at a gas station will get that hold. 99.9% of the time, it's a $1 hold, and the gas amount is charged after the end of day processing. Fun fact! If you're SUPER strapped for cash, and in a really bad financial place, you can normally get gas on a credit card as long as you have at least $1 available. It WILL overdraw the account, and it WILL exceed the max credit card amount, but in an emergency, it's good to know. Keep in mind though that if you use a debit card, it might only let you get gas for the amount in your account though.

I actually have a funny story about this lol. When I first started driving I had put gas in my car and when I got home later in the day I checked my account. I was a teenager who didn’t have a lot of money, so I was careful about how much I spent, and it only said $1 for the gas, and I got super worried that I had somehow stolen the gas and was going to get arrested 😂

@@Analaigh22 you would not believe how many kids would call because of that 😂 I think I had to explain it to at least 1 or 2 kids a day for the entire 5 years I worked there. Also more banking fun facts! The WORST day to call about overdraft fees are Tuesdays.

I think the giftcard benefits the company because instead of giving them paychecks to their debit card, they basically 'let' the 'representative' use THEIR account. So any money not used is still theirs.. The same way normal gift cards are profitable. So it's a way to avoid paying their employees when they pay their employees.. Sick.

Conspiracy theory: The angry first hun is an anti-vaxxer and had just been through three months of Covid. It's just how she talks about "not trusting the gouvernment" (even thought it has absolutely nothing to do with her rant). I also hate this whole "women should stick together" fallacy when, at its core, the anti-MLM movement is only about calling out scammers, no matter what their gender is.

Stylists have at salons DO try the products. On themselves and their clients. Which gives you a lot more accurate view since you’re then trying it on different hair types and not just your own. Also, I would never purchase anything from anyone that yelled at people on the internet about why they should buy from them… not very professional for your “business”

This concept that women need to be supported no matter what is really toxic. And I'm saying this as a feminist. We shouldn't be supporting women's bad actions just because they're done by a woman - especially if those actions are harmful, and especially if they're harmful for other women. Accountability is key to empowerment. Edit: typos
@katnappd3 жыл бұрын
I feel I need to elaborate: when Theresa May was the PM of UK she did so many harmful things that affected a whole country, and people were saying any critique of her was anti-feminist because she was a woman. If as a woman (especially one in power) you actively make decisions that harm women you deserve to be critiqued. Edit: typos
@lani67003 жыл бұрын
Okay long explanation but please read: The reason they use the Monat debit card is because they can carefully word posts to make it sound like it's a *company card* and Monat is paying for these things, rather than then paying with their own funds. It's also a way to directly show "yes I do get money from this place, look at this prepaid visa that definitely has enough funds for gas." I'm sure Monat heavily heavily encourages them because the company can invest those funds just like a bank would and also collect transaction fees. I have a reloadable prepaid debit card (for transactions I think might be shady+gas stations so scammers won't ever get access to more than a hundred bucks) and read every last T&C to make sure I wasn't getting screwed over. There are a bunch of hidden fees plus no interest to the customer so it really benefits the company that issued the card and not you, unless you live in one of a few states that ban those fees like I do. Monat benefits in much the same way as every random store that tries to get you to sign up for a store credit card and I guarantee they push huns to sign up just as hard as those stores TLDR: Monat gets to keep the money on those debit cards for longer and therefore suck even more money out of the hun who has been conditioned to think this arrangement is beneficial to themselves
@lani67003 жыл бұрын
@@McGrawsome charging you to take out cash is a fee. You also missed my entire point about Monat getting a cut of transaction fees, ie fees to the merchant where you use the card, just like every payment processor. Just because some faq says there's no catch does not mean there's no catch. The money is held in a Monat subaccount until it is spent, meaning Monat has the ability to make money off it before supplying the distributor with their actual funds at point of sale. Many big businesses have tried to implement this and it's always shady. The reason it works with an mlm is the perceived clout distributors thinks it has; nobody would flaunt their Walmart prepaid visa as much as Walmart would love to get away with paying them that way

It's also a workaround for people who are unable to get bank accounts to do direct deposit into.

I completely agree about people making comments about other peoples physical appearance. Unless you know for sure someone is on a health journey or if they openly talk about surgeries they have had, zip it! Keep your opinions to yourself. I'm so tired of that crap. I had a friend who lost a lot of weight because he was sick and struggling with something. Idk why people think it's ok to make comments on things like that without any knowledge. Grinds my gears.

Your commentary is logical, clever, sharp, sensible, and addicting in the best possible way. And a huge bonus is that the way you adore your kitties makes me love you even more. I adore my Leo, who is now 13 years old (we adopted him when he was 5). 🥰😻🥰 I have never had anything to do with MLMs, but I am very interested in the psychological dynamics that go around in this “industry.” It’s fascinating and disconcerting at the same time. I watched your other video (I think you referred to it at the end of this one) where the representative called people who quit not only “quitters” but also “cowards.” Wow!! And she was hoping they go back?! I guess I need to go back to the drawing board and study some more psychology-as this makes no logical sense to me. Thank you sooooo very much for all you do!! 🥰🥰🤗🤗

Hey I’ve been in Igenius and the last girl was my mentor… when I’ve reached to her after I saw a tik tok, I told her that I’m going to think about it and she kind of “pressure me” telling me that there was limited spots and I had to make a quick decision. Because I really wanted to learn about trading well I told her that I was ready only to realize during the training that is what she was told to do “to create urge” and after that I completely left. I still have lots of anedoct. If you want to have more testimony don’t hesitate to contact me. Since I left I can’t stop looking for anti mlm videos because I didn’t even know it existed before that 😂 I really find stupid that people stay after discovering during the “training” that they were lied to 😂 I mean you can be scamed due to a lack of info but when they tell you upfront that they lied to you… RUN girls 😂 I have nothing against the last girl, she seems really nice but that move girl…
