Right, like what a strange outlook. 🤣 Cracks me up because my dad retired at 62 from being a friggin custodian for a state university. I am all for opening up discussions regarding miscarriages. All too often, women who have gone through it feel as if it is supposed to be "kept quiet" and feel they have no one to talk to. But THIS is NOT what I had in mind. Hugs to all who have endured such a loss. I went through six, followed by nine years of infertility and then when I did get pregnant again almost lost that baby many times and was on bedrest for the entire pregnancy. My little miracle turns 21 this year (no, not 21 months lol).

When I lost my baby at 9 weeks, I had an appointment around 9 AM, an ultrasound at 10, and was in the hospital having a D&C surgery by 2:30 PM (with barely any time to process between breaking the news to my children, making arrangements for them to spend the night at my parents' house, and transporting them). It took me at least 3 weeks before I could lay down in my bed at night to sleep without bursting into tears. Even thought it's nearly been a year, and I'm thrilled to be pregnant again with a healthy baby girl, I still am crying just remembering how hard that was. This poor woman must have been so manipulated by others in this business. I pray she gets a break and is able to grieve, truly, without working.

Who leaves specialty nursing for an mlm!? WHYYYYY!????
@bunnylacy2097
@bunnylacy2097 2 жыл бұрын
A lot of nurses get burnt out. It’s a thankless job at times. You get verbally abused often. It’s very physically and mentally draining. Not everyone can handle or continue handling it after years of it. An MLM isn’t where you should if you’re feeling burnt out on your current job though but she likely wasn’t aware of that at the time and now it seems like she’s high enough on the pyramid to make some money… maybe. Honestly she was helping a lot people as a nurse than with the MLM…. Which makes it really weird that she’s talking about how she loves this job so much because she gets to help women… but she helped women being a nurse too. But basically, sometimes nursing becomes too much after while.

As a nurse, I’m appreciative that I went into this field after listening to these MLM stories, but at the same time, there’s a lot of burn out in this field. You don’t know if the next nurse is coming into their shift and just when you think you’re about to go home, you’re mandated to do a double shift. The great thing about nursing is that you’re not tied to bed side nursing or working strictly in a hospital or nursing home, there are so many other nursing opportunities where you can have a flexible schedule and vacation time, those jobs are usually case management jobs.

Wait, did the first woman actually post from the toilet while having a miscarriage, calling it a "wild ride"? I'm speechless. We had a lot of grief with miscarriages in our family, I can't imagine using it as a selling point. It seems like she doesn't even process the trauma, let alone give herself time to feel the pain because she's so hyperfocused on working and staying positive. Also, I know that the medical system in the United States is very different, but here in Germany it's absolutely adviced to go to a doctor when you have a miscarriage to make sure there's no excess tissue in your uterus that might cause infections. If the miscarriage isn't completed naturally and there are remains in the body, medical or even surgical intervention might be necessary.

I had a part time retail job that made my anxiety get really bad because I couldn't get a break from it. I was one of the first people the job called when they needed a shift replaced. So everyday, I was either asked to come on in my day off, stay later than I was scheduled, etc. Sometimes I would come from my shift and get called asking about another shift. I was genuinely shocked whenever a day passed where I was not called. What should have been a part time job was on my mind almost 24/7 because I was reminded of it whenever they called me. So yeah, I need to have a job where I punch out and hardly anybody talks to me. I might get a message every now and again with my current job but I don't feel like I'm on call every day of my life anymore. My anxiety is much better now that one of the major triggers is gone. I can't understand how MLMs think that everybody should basically be working every second of their life. Some people, like me, can't handle it whatsoever. Clocking out for me is not just something that's nice, it's a necessity for my mental health.

Yes, great point. YOU listened to YOU. I’ve been through similar situations. One of the most important and pivotal-dare I say courageous-moments was the day I first said, “No. I can’t do that” to a completely unreasonable request that would have required me to work overtime. I wasn’t fired, and I continued to practice putting boundaries in place. 25 years later I’m virtually free to do what I want.

One thing about mlm is this talk about courage and pity stories, the hell!!! My sister works in a normal 8 to 5 and you don't see her logging in fb and blabbing away about the courage it took her to work or anything like that. She clocks in, clocks out go home and enjoy her time with the hubby and daughter. She is very happy with her job. ☺

Just so everyone is aware, a miscarriage isn't a one day thing. It can last for weeks. That being said, that story just really freaking disgusts me. I'm all for people sharing their stories to get rid of the stigma, but this just makes me flipping disgusted. When I went through mine, I was busy crying, panicking and calling my doctor. Literally not worried about anything else other than my baby. I've not had the best luck with pregnancies, so I take this extremely personal. She can piss off

If you're miscarrying a baby go to a freaking hospital. Don't go on social media sell MLM Products. If you really cared about your child, you'd go to the doctor. Not to mention her health is in danger. Women who miscarry need to get themselves to make sure nothing is left rotting and infecting her , risking sepsis and other dangerous problems

youre only advised to go to the hospital if you’re bleeding through like 3 pads an hour for 2 or more hours(or something like that i cant remember) then you get a follow up or sometimes no follow up if you get a negative test 4-6 weeks. I went to the hospital for a threatened miscarriage and they werent able to confirm there so they sent me home where i immediately passed baby and called back, they told me to stay home. so she’s okay at home but still, thats seriously the saddest mlm clip i’ve ever seen and so awful she’s using the experience in attempt to sell the “opportunity” :/

It depends on whether you have an incomplete vs complete vs inevitable spontaneous miscarriage (medically we describe miscarriage as a spontaneous abortion). You are referring to is a situation of an incomplete spontaneous abortion where retained tissue can cause infection/sepsis (life-threatening complication) which requires a D&C. When you present with signs a possible spontaneous abortion, your health care provider will do a pelvic exam to evaluate your cervix to come up with a management plan based on the exam, clinical info, and trimester. In other words, not all spontaneous abortions are treated the same way. Sometimes people can manage it safely at home and sometimes not. Either way, it is a very traumatizing experience. I don't know if maybe the hun was using the mlm as a part of her coping strategy but still very concerning that she leverages that as a recruiting pitch.

But hearing her talking about actively having a miscarriage just put me right back in the moment of when I had mine. I had to immediately fast forward because the tears were already starting to fall. There is no reason this girl should have been all dressed up in her Monat gear doing a Live on social media. Everyone deserves space and boundaries. It's completely despicable that when you're in an MLM you're almost expected to blast your traumas! Completely sick and wrong. When you're going through something like this, you deserve time to process your emotions and to heal. That video of hers was so unnecessary. Can we please discuss that your salary is not your total compensation from your job? 401k contributions, health insurance, education assistance/reimbursement, continuing education.. these are a majority of someone's compensation package. I was working with a manager wondering if we should find a replacement for someone that had left the company. I knew his salary was 62k a year (which sounds like a lot, but in the Seattle area, where the cost of living is so high) but when asking the total compensation package of this person's position, I was informed that it cost the company 160k a year total, after all the benefits that are included. My job pays $987 dollars a month toward my health insurance premiums alone.

The lady in clip 5 is missing a question. It is actually a good idea to ask yourself what the worst is that could happen and what the best is that could happen...but you also need to ask yourself *what is the probability of each outcome.* If the best is you could make millions and the worst is you could lose literally everything, and the likelihood of you losing everything faaaaar outweighs the probability of making it big, it's probably not worth the risk :P Then if that's the case, you should ask yourself if there are any alternative routes to the best that have better odds, and if so, do those instead. In the case of MLMs, the best possible outcome is in fact making it big, but you're approximately 99% more likely to lose your initial investment, if not much more. But, luckily enough, there are alternative routes! You could get a normal job and save your money, go to college to get a good career, start your own real (a.k.a. non-MLM) small business, take a class on finances, learn how to invest wisely and safely, etc. And all of these options have much much much higher probability of success than an MLM ever could ;P
