I wish he had a GoPro strapped to him so we could actually see him running and hear his thoughts instead of just random 3 second clips from the van crew. It would make it feel more of a personal experience. Also I completely forgot this video was even about running Africa because the van crew are turning it into their own personal vlog.

I did a couple of months driving around Africa with a couple of mates a few years back, stopping in amazing campsites every night, having a braai, and it was the best experience ever. It's hard to explain how jealous I am of these guys getting to do this for the best part of a year!

This series inspired me to run my first ever 1/2 marathon, and you also inspired me to document it on my channel (I even shout you out at 12:30 and at the end too). In one of the final episodes of this project they reflect on the challenges they faced throughout the journey, including the issues they faced at the very beginning of the project. They are pretty open about spending more money than they originally planned due to having to completely flip the direction of the trip. Stan even specifically mentions how they had to defer their wages because of the unforeseen issues they faced before Russ could even get running. Idk, just a thought.
